Never buy the first generation of any new technology. No exceptions.

I feel like they had to dim the lights because the screen has so shit power output. It will be completely unreadable in daylight.

>have a slightly chunky phone that can fold into a small tablet
>or a small tablet that can store as the size of a slightly chunky phone

As a concept its neat, but at the end of the day its still a fucking Android device.

It's still a prototype. I hope soon they can actually flesh out the technology and make this not suck.

this, it's going to be a long ass time before we have foldable screens that don't wear out before a year of use

>but at the end of the day its still a fucking Android device.
Ah, I see, now Apple can't claim they "invented" it.

No, thanks! The screen is made of plastic and it will scratch like hell.

I've never owned a smart phone. In my 30s and still using an old flip phone.

jesus christ an actual 30 year old boomer

I'm more excited that slider phones have made a comeback.

How the hell else are they suppose to do it?
Inside screen is away from the outside world anyway, only chance it would have to be scratched is when you have it folded out

Well actually it's more that I'm poor and never really needed it when I do most shit on a desktop anyway. So that 150-300 dollars towards something else is a lot

They'll give you the next gen for free when you buy the first gen

>No, thanks! The screen is made of plastic and it will scratch like hell.
Anyone who isn't a retard will use a flexible screen protector on it, anyway.

>it folds horizontally and not vertically
Why

What is CPI?

>he wants a 5:1 aspect ratio

looks like typing would be awkward with a keyboard that small

I like the keyboard, and form factor, but I'm not too keen on the specs, and lack of frequencies.

I can't imagine actually using that thing as a phone.

There's a very good reason standard key size is what it is. Using keys just 20% smaller is a pain already (I owned a netbook once, I would know). Such tiny keys would be unusable, might as well use touchscreen keyboard instead.

Keys are bigger than my old blackberries, so the only thing that concerns me are the shitty specs, and that it's an crowdfunded type of product.

Nigga back in 2012 those screens only lost 6% of the colour after 100 000 folds.
I bet it even better right now.

This shit is gona be worse than you can even imagine

I doubt it's any less bright than other OLED screens.

There is an advertising trend to use very dark "teasers" prior to a product launch.
Triggers excitement algorithms in NPC's.

If you want to support a company buy some shares.

Development of new technology depends on investments, not initial purchases.

No it's because their prototype looks like total ass

it's not a shitty flip phone - its more like an imaging machine

fucking faggot I hope you did the same with bitcoin retard

Literally just make it a proper fliphone.

Half the dimensions of a (nowadays awkwardly large) smartphone while in the pocket, folds out into a normal sized device when used.

Oh my God I hope to God you're not actually this retarded..

>cant flick it closed because the screens will crack
fuck this gay earth
