when i use the new drive, would the page file area (with bad data on it) be over-written when the pc needs to write to page file? or would this bad data mess with any attempts to use the page file area on the new drive?

is there a program that can get the timecodes of hardcoded subs in modern video formats? subrip won't work with any file i throw at it, tried installing avisynth and using ffmpeg to convert my file to every format i know of and it just tells me "No suitable compressor could be found" and won't show the video in the editor.

Most laptops/prebuilts come preinstalled with a recovery partition these days that can be used to recover everything to a factory state as long as you don't wipe out that partition, including all their bloat & drivers & shit. You should see it on the partition list and hitting some key on boot (usually F10 or F12 or something) will bring you to recovery menu where you can do the restore

I have an Asus VG248 Monitor that is connected to a Geforce RTX 2070 via Display port, whenever the PC turns the monitors off while I sleep, I have to completely cut the power to the monitor for it to detect that it is connected via display port again. This is SUPER annoying as I don't want to start each day with unplugging my monitor.
Is there any way to fix this, besides turning off sleep mode permanently?

Have a Mini ITX build over here that's being somewhat noisy. Not sure if this is how it's supposed to be since I'm not the original owner. I see a review or two mentioning that this PSU is absolutely silent but I am doubting the validity of this claim.

Anyways, I mention the PSU because that's where the noise is coming from. It's high pitched and quite annoying, to the point it makes my desktop with a shitty 700w PSU bearable. Is it a good idea to try to "fix" the PSU fan in any way? Any good way of testing whether the noise is caused by the fan and it's not any other component just whining?

The slower one has an almost full 1TB HDD while the other one have a 1TB HDD and a 256GB SSD. Does that affect the download speeds?

You'll see speeds drop considerably on HDDs after they are about 75% full.

Seemed like a decent workaround for making a AHK routine that can do left-enter on UAC prompts and normal enter on most other stuff... Originally tried to make AHK detect the UAC window and send the left, enter when appropriate, but I found it lacks the proper permissions to do so, while my mouse can send the keystrokes easily enough but sometimes sends them in inappropriate times... So best to have it do alt+left enter all the time, and have AHK consume the alt+left all the time, that way left will only be pressed when AHK lacks the permissions to consume it (when a UAC prompt is up)... Well, it seems to work so I'm happy for now.

Exe doesn't have a program you open it with and to open it automatically would be a security concern.

Yeah I know just making sure that .exe is the only file type that will pop up a dialog box that defaults to "Cancel" rather than "OK". Wanted to set up my macro to hit left, enter on these boxes, but doing it on ones like the bottom one is actually a huge fucking annoyance since the left arrow will select "save file" and since "do this automatically" is checked it will continue to save files until I go into settings and unfuck it again

Is there literally a single laptop out right now that isn't dogshit? For coding, photo editing and media mainly, portability, usable specs and high quality screen are a focus. But everything I've looked at seems to be total garbage. Dell XPS has trash keyboard and trackpad, coil whine, and the screen is so slow it's unusable for anything other than graphic designers, Thinkpad X1 makes Apple tax look like a joke, and everything else is either 60% sRGB shit or riced out gaymur gear with 2hr battery life.

I'm not saying deepfakes are obsolete, but the software FakeApp is. Atrocious training speed, very strict limitations towards input pictures and closed source, so with the dev gone it'll never be revived.
FakeApp was better than faceswap in the beginning (except the training speed), but they got on-par face recognition now, tons of tools to make the creation of deepfakes easier (sorting tools for alignments, automatically filtering out blurry alignments, rotating alignments to increase the chance of finding a face, MTCNN face detector, etc.), a new 128x128 trainer that is actually worth a damn and even a GUI if your not the command line type.

Oh, and the only FakeApp version worth a damn (v1.1) was never available for download on fakeapp.org anyway.

ZBook is overkill in specs and far, far too thick and heavy for something I'm going to be carrying around every day. Half the time I use my current laptop almost like a non-useless tablet, in bed, on my lap, on the couch, or even carrying it with one hand and using it with the other. If I'm sitting down at a desk, I'd rather just be actually using my desktop PC. Elitebook seems okay but you can't really find the models with non-shit screens in Europe it seems, only the crappy basic 1080p ones with low brightness and color gamuts.
