Akarin Is technology

No, I have two TN that were 100 bucks each.
I'm also still using the same Sennheiser HD201 from 11 years ago.

What kind of keyboard is that, user? Do you recommend it?

Unfortunately

thats a pretty shit monitor, doesnt have to do anything with it being IPS. Just get a CRT bro

ty

cooler master quick fire rapid with custom keycaps and yes but only with custom keycaps the default suck

If by IPS you mean "inexpensive piece of shit" then yes.

Why do you masturbate in front of a window?

You should try a mech.
I always labeled them as memes, but as someone who actually knows how to type and enjoy doing so, it was definitely a good purchase.

Hell yeah i got one!

cool pics guys

Actually the monitor is great, just a defective panel. Here it is compared to a cheapest 144hz TN panel you can buy
I do have a trinitron P1110, but the tensions lines are starting to break so I put it away.

yes

nice pic, shitty downsampling tho.

dont post gore

damn thats a shame man. Gonna get a new one?

>high input lag

I know the orginal one is too fucking Sharp and i dont wanted to share my shitty opengl code

op here my monitor has 4 ms of input lag and i had higher ranks on a 60hz panel than my 144hz benq

Good IPS monitor for poorfags?
The most intensize thing I do is watch anime.

43" 4k 60hz IPS
27" 1440p 144hz VA

VA

Fine I'll spare you the broken CRT images. It's a real shame since that monitor BTFO almost every monitor I own
I got it used for 200 bucks, so no. I knew what I was getting into and it isn't that bad since it's better in every way then my old TN monitor. If I had paid the full ~650 for it I would have been pissed.

Attached: 20180811_010011.jpg (4032x3024, 3.29M)

Of course. Got a 34UM88C-P.

It's a little basic compared to more modern IPS/Ultrawides, so no G-Sync, high refresh, HDR, etc, but I still love it.

Also have a TN panel WITH all those bells and whistles: G-Sync, 165hz, 1440p. Hard as shit to get 1440p@165hz, but the games that I can run like that look pretty sweet. It's just the colors and viewing angles suck ass. They're fine for gaming, but for everyday use I can't stand them.

How do you deal with the clouding? I tried to press gently on it with a piece of cloth and while it reduced the clouding in that area it spread it around the rest of the monitor.

stop posting your thirdworld poorstation, ok thanks.

Turning down the brightness helps a bit

I have a cheap 22" Dell TN panel that I bought for $139 10 years ago

>Here it is compared to a cheapest 144hz TN panel you can buy
whats the name?

It's so annoying. A real shame because anything but dark images on it looks amazing. Damn it.

What went so wrong? $250 Dell monitors were almost flawless 10 years ago, and now it seems like all panels have major issues.

Post more pictures of the crt on. I'm trying to compare to the turd I have.

Meh, it's fine. Better than the 60hz i had before.

I'm not a PRO gaymer, i'm mainly using it for anime and csgo, which it's better than my previous monitor for.

I own a VA ultrawide meme, it's actually pretty useful for productivity allowing me to shove multiple windows eveywhere.

I wonder this too
I can pull out any old random no-name brand LCD from the early 2000s and it'll come with better panel uniformity than even most new branded LCDs
Seems like most LCD manufacturers have gone down the toilet in QC (Asus especially) in pursuit of profit margins

There's no high refresh rate Freesync 144hz IPS monitors that aren't curved so I got a TN and my GPU isn't good enough for 1440p even though there's monitors that suit my needs. Have a Dell Ultrasharp on the side and the colors are much better than TN garbage.

>being a philistine

Attached: (you).jpg (430x441, 18K)

I think it's the LED backlight type. Before that older LCDs didn't have to deal with this shit.

IPS in my bartop arcade.

Attached: bartop arcade-8.jpg (986x1753, 592K)

your speakers are too tiny
get some real audio setup man

Don't tell me what to do
Take a look for yourself. Pulled up some image quick, I have to go.

IPS | CRT | TN
front view. CRT has best colors.

Like what? I'm on a tight budget.

I agree but I can't put them anywhere on my desk. I can put them behind my monitors, but then the monitors would block them.
That's not me lol
Here's from below. Ips on the left, crt in middle, tn on the right.

Attached: 20181114_170519.jpg (5312x2988, 2.39M)

From above.
CRT wins. It's my center monitor.

I have an Asus PA248Q.
"Upgrading" to the PA24AC in a couple of weeks for the HDR meme.

Yep, a cheap LG one. bretty good for the price

Wait how does that work? I thought HDR implied wide gamut

Thanks, I can't get my crt to be anywhere near as bright as my others.

what monitor is that? i need a new one really bad because mines slowly dying

2 x LG IPS231, cheap as chips and had them for ages, 100% sRGB
also have an IPS panel in my chinkpad but it sucks balls

Looks like an ultrasharp 24" or 25" Either 1080 or 1440p, with the infinityedge.

Things that never happened

yes, it's pretty good

Hackintosh?

Sadly, yes. I wish I had a working G5. This one had a dead board when I got it.

Other than the regular IPS glow and clouding it's awesome. Got it for less than 150 bucks.

I have two.

And damn my G3 sure makes it look way worse than it actually is. In reality my main screen only has very little corner bleed and the smaller screen appears to be almost uniform.

Attached: photo_2018-11-15_00-24-06.jpg (1280x720, 85K)

I actually have 2 and 1 shitty TN.

1920x1200 master race

Attached: dell.png (1488x620, 230K)

Yeah, I've got one of these. It's nice. My other monitor's a shit old 22" Dell thing but it's just used for the home server so w/e

Attached: 34UM68.jpg (1280x720, 87K)

It technically qualifies for the Vesa DisplayHDR 400 standard, which at that tier only really concerns brightness and local dimming.

2, Dell U2415 and an Asus PG279Q
waiting on a deal $180 or below for another Dell.

yeah, couple of 1920x1200 ips monitors
HPZR24w
I like them very much. I keep one in portrait.

I thought this image was edited at first. Ultrawides are such a meme that I forget they're even real. I thought it was just a silly edit like pic related.

Attached: 1522938603134.jpg (603x324, 105K)

Anyone here with an Mbest MB279QR144? I'm coming from an IPS monitor and I'm concerned about the VA panel and potential ghosting, how good is it?

mine never bled like that lol

Anyone got an XB271HU? How is it?

I posted the wrong image meant, to show off my old U2412Ms

Also hi /hbg/

Attached: speccy.png (667x523, 39K)

I have an ips monitor, an ips mouse, and an ips keyboard. I was thinking about upgrading my graphics card to ips, but Jow Forums said I should wait a couple months until next-gen ips rolls out. I'll probably get a couple ips SSDs too since they're dropping in price, gonna see if there's any good ips sales during black friday.

Love my 1440p monitor, got it cheap from a eBay seller a few months ago and have been enjoying it so far.

>stop having specific terms for specific things

I just got one at my new job. Its really amazing, specially after using a 1366x768 for 6 years,, I might buy one after I get my first paycheck.

>try to use TN vertically
>FUCK!!!

Yeah I do its nice I guess.

>4 ms
im internally bleeding

1000/30 = ~33
human eye can tell lags less than 33ms

it's not about the human eye, it's about frame rendering.

At 60fps a frame renders every ~16.7ms
at 120fps a frame renders every ~8.3ms
at 144fps a frame renders every ~6.9ms
at 165fps a frame renders every ~6ms
at 240fps a frame renders every ~4.2ms

But that 4ms number quoted is often grey to grey measurements which are faster than black to black.

Even if the G2G speed is 4ms, well below the ~7ms frame time of 144hz, the B2B could be ~8-12ms which would make it blur for certain frames on a 120hz or higher panel.

What does the red and green mean?

>tfw based S2716DG

Attached: 1512279601200.jpg (251x201, 7K)

Red is the estimated time for signal processing.

Green is the pixel response time with G2G measurements.

Nah, this looks like one of those Acer or Asus gaming monitors
