doing this doesn't deselect text though.
and pressing f5, reloading the page, doesn't even result in text being deselected.
it would be deselected if you were to press f3. though indirectly. it's not actually deselecting or cancelling current selection, but it ends up being deselected as a result of something else, here it's because some other text is selected.
