This is what VPNs are for. Just use any search engine while connected to a VPN, and make sure you're not logged into any account associated with said search engine. Also clear your cookies.

Spying helps with personalized search results, which are bullshit anyway. A search engine doesn't need personalization to be good. Google itself was good way before it started to spy on users.

Its not just for personalization. They need to know which sites are the most relevant to a certain group of users. Checking relevancy can be as simple as checking whether a user clicked on a site or as complex as keeping track on the user eye movement to see if the user is actively using the site or not.
Also the money needed to uphold an infrastructure goo gl e has for its search engine is not cheap to build or maintain.
