Why?

You got it backwards OP.
AMD GPU's are too unreliable, hardware and software wise they still lack a lot of optimization seen in Nvidia cards.
Intel CPU's are fucking overpriced for the difference seen between intel and AMD.

Eh... My 980 Ti has caused more issues than my R9 380X.
Never had any issues with the 4670 and 7770 I had before that either.

I have a 1080 Ti and I miss AMD drivers. Nvidia has dropped the ball and AMD picked things up. Problem with AMD is that they can't make anything high end.

Enjoy the time you have left Intel, AMD, and Nvidia bois

let me know when i can browse pdf files that don't take 30 seconds to load pages and we'll talk about it

In the bizarro world. Threadripper + Quadro GPU is the thinking man's choice.

>Have AMD GPU and CPU
>mfw everything runs like shit
I got memed so fucking hard

sounds like operator error

No the its the parts that run like shit. The GPU I know for sure is fucked up since if I adjust any of the settings even a single digit up or down everything crashes hard. CPU is an fx8350 and those are just shit now.

and starting in 2020 we will have intel for GPUs too. imagine if they kick nvidias ass as much as they're kicking AMDs ass in CPUs

>bulldozer
there's your problem.
enjoying those "real" cores, user?

fucking disgusting combo, true combo is
amd cpu and nvidia gpu

I didn't even know what the fuck that stuff meant when bought it.
Going straight nvidia and intel for my next rig.

meddl loide

nah my FX8350 was far from running like shit when upgraded unless you use really garbage software that only runs good on a single thread at 4.5ghz

yea see this is my point if things are running like shit you should be looking for problems such as incorrect ram settings, overheating and stuff like that not trying to overclock. Things are not going to magically stop crashing or running bad because you increased the GPU clock by 25mhz

>2700x/1080ti here
truly the master race of smart non-HEDT desktop computer enthusiasts

Ram is fine, temps on my system never go above 50c. The gpu is just ass. I changed the clock by 10mhz a few minutes ago and it crashed.

Anything bulldozer or piledriver is objectively shit. Stop being a massive faggot and admit you fucked up buying something with fake cores. Ryzen or die motherfucker.

I had an Fx8350 at 4.2ghz 16gb of ram and my 480, the only thing that ran like shit was star citizen.
It runs much better on the 2600X but everything else wasn't slow as shit either

Full AMD setup here because fuck you nvidia

R5 2600 and RTX2080 here. Fuck yeah.

Got my RX 590 last night.

It's kind of putting lipstick on a pig, but it's nice to have real VR for once.

genius!

I got this right now. 1700X and RX480 8GB. It's nice but I still want more horsepower. Hopefully the next generation will be well supported on Linux.

>AMD CPU
>Intel GPU

Intel CPU(i7 6700k)/Nvidia GPU(GTX 1070) No issues so far neither by Nvidia gimping or the so called spectre or meltdown exploits.Had FX 8320e @4.7Ghz with an RX 480 8gb Nitro +, games ran like shit, as soon as i got the i7 everything ran fine, but some games had issues on AMD so i went for a 1070, now everything runs silky smooth and with no problems.

The most retarded combination in 2018

>AMD CPU
>AMD GPU

the true combination, cpus arent overpriced and gpus just work on lunix without crappy proprietary drivers which break once a while

Used to be intel/nvidia, now 2700x/1080

Gods words
