CPU
>Athlon 200GE - Bare minimal desktop/gaming
>R3 2200G - Light gaming(dGPU optional)
>R5 2400G/i5-8400 - Consider IF on sale
>R5 2600/X - Good gaming & multithreaded work use CPUs
>i7-9700k/8700k - If you have a $2000+ budget and don't care that it'll be superseded by 7nm CPUs next year
>R7 2700/X - Best value high-end CPU on a non-HEDT platform
>Wait for R7 3700X - Surely the best overall and not a massive disappointment like the 9900k
>Threadripper/Used Xeon - HEDT

RAM
>8GB - Enough for most gaming use
>16GB - Standard for heavy use
>32GB - If you have to ask, you don't need this
>CPUs benefit from fast RAM; 2933MHz+ is ideal

Graphics cards
>RTX 2000 cards are worse performance per $ than previous gen
>Avoid cheap MODELS ie MSI Armor (Mk2 is ok), Gigabyte G1/Wf, ASUS dual, and others w/ small heatsinks and low quality fans
1080p
>RX 570/580 w/ Freesync or 1060 6GB - standard 1080p 60fps+ options
>1050 3Gb or RX560 4Gb - lower settings and/or older games
>GTX 1070Ti/Vega 56 - for higher FPS w/ a high hz monitor
1440p
>Vega 56; 1070Ti/1080 if you already have Gsync
>GTX 1080Ti - for higher FPS w/ a high hz monitor
4K
>Upscale from 1620-1800p. Maybe 2080Ti but awful value
OpenCL use
>Vega 64

Storage
>Backup before using StoreMi
>Consider getting a larger SSD (better GB/$) instead of small SSD & large HDD
>2TB HDDs are barely more $ than 1TB
>M.2 is a form factor, NOT a performance standard

Display
>Consider 75hz minimum; 60hz are mostly old models
>Always consider FreeSync w/ AMD cards
>FOR GAMING START YOUR BUILD WITH A MONITOR FIRST, then make your build to drive it appropriately

Alright should I get the Sapphire Nitro 590 or the Red Devil 590? also Amazon Prime or Newegg?

Lads will this run bf1 +30 fps on low

>R3 1200
>750ti
>4GB RAM

Wanted to ask on /vg/ but the fucking range block is active again

when do i buy stuff? help

Look at it...? it has like 5 times the metal.
Powercolor uses some nice fans too, if my Red Dragon V56 is any indication.

Open it up and take a look.

>also Amazon Prime or Newegg?
cheapest

I think so. idk. Should be similar to the 2200G with overclocked iGPU

ibuypower.com
Are these deals good? Or is it a ripoff? Am I getting sold shitty Chinese parts?

Both same price.
Which brand has better cooling Nitro or Red Devil?

Fellas what's a decent PSU below 50 bucks

It would power a r3 1200 w/750ti so fairly low key build overall

>Which brand has better cooling Nitro or Red Devil?
As far as I'm aware, they're roughly the same.

>9700k
>2070
>8Gb of RAM
>no SSD
>$1500 -5%
You would get about 95% the same performance with a 2600X and Vega56 for around $500 cheaper. Plus the games included. I wouldn't exactly recommend this build (needs cooler replaced at least), but through together as a price example: pcpartpicker.com/list/RY29vn
The price for the components you get could be worse. But it's sub optimal if you goal is such and such FPS.
>2700X
>RX580
>2666 RAM
>no SSD again
>$1400 -5%
Another massive ripoff. Use ur brain.

Also all those fucking
>!!!
on the site like some 45 year old mom who spams facebook with Minions memes wrote this

newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16817182398 is on sale for $30.

Well 750ti is supposedly close to 7850 so in terms of minimum requirements it comes close overall

I dislike nvidia gpu's in general but amd has nothing in that price range that even remotely compares to the 750ti

That PSU looks decent thanks. Do you know if they sell these in europe too by chance

It's Newegg's brand. Idk man look at PSUs and reviews and/or user reviews.
Sometimes you can get a 280X for $50 or 50 euro.

B450M Mortar Micro vs Mortar Titanium, same price right now which one is better? I guess what makes a motherboard better than others in general, I also see the ASRock PRO4, Gigabyte DS3H at a similar price.

>i5-4690K @ 4.0 GHz
>16 GB (4 x 4 GB) DDR3-2133 Memory
>Kingston SSDNow V300 120 GB SSD
>2x WD Blue 1 TB 7200RPM HDD
>4 TB Seagate 5400RPM HDD
>Asus STRIX GTX 970
>Corsair CXM 750 W 80+ Bronze

What is most important for me to upgrade? I don't have enough money for a new PC.

If your video card serves you, get a new SSD.
Else a new video card.

pcpartpicker.com/list/6WhqQZ
Best below 150$ motherboard and CPU cooler below 50?

Yeah, my SSD is fucking terrible. I heard it was especially terrible later on after I bought it. Thanks for the advice user.

>pcpartpicker.com/list/6WhqQZ
>Best below 150$ motherboard and CPU cooler below 50?
For CPU anything with gold on it.
Black Friday is coming up so rather buy then you'll find a lot of good deals

OP confirmed for fucking communisic AMD shill. Sick of these pathetic weebfags and their childish sense for justice.

Gold?

Do most ryzen boards allow overclocking or is there a certain price point before it becomes a common feature?

>uh isn't the z370-a pro only 4 low side phases?

Attached: 1505602547861.png (510x346, 209K)

quick rundown on buying used mining cards, what questions should i ask seller?

>Gold?
All PSUs are labeled bronze gold or platinum. There might be a silver I'm not sure. But get a gold.
Its basically a quality grading

>quick rundown on buying used mining cards, what questions should i ask seller?
Is he gay?
Also ask how much he lost in bitcoin. And when he tells you laugh your ass off and put down the phone.
You can't trust a miner so asking him anything is pointless. Its a gamble

Can we get some vega niggas to benchmark with ray tracung on? You just edit a config in documents to set it.

Rumored better performance than 2080ti

How overkill would a GTX 1080 TI be?
Should I just get a 1070 TI for half the price?
I want my next machine to be able to run anything I throw at it on max and potentially run VR.
The 1080 I'm considering is a Gigabyte AORUS for $1299 (AUD). There are fuck all other options for a 1080 by the looks of things and to be hoenst it's more than I want to spend on a single component, but if the upgrade is worthwhile then I'll probably go for it.

I already have a psu

pcpartpicker.com/list/XYgwKB
Thoughts on this for 1440p 144 hz gaming?

Also looking at this monitor.
amazon.com/dp/B00ZOO348C/ref=twister_B01GKN948O?_encoding=UTF8&th=1

Attached: 1475162140797.jpg (616x880, 137K)

Between the two Mortars, it's only colour. As for the rest of them, Buildzoid does a video of his thoughts on various B450s. Other than that you have to research each individual product.

>anyone who dares recommend a product not inline with my own branding preference must be a profit of the enemy!
You should look in the mirror, faggot.

pcpartpicker.com/list/XfKZvn
Thoughts on this.

How much of a difference is there between 100hz and 120/144hz in terms of 24 fps media? Is having the refresh rate divisible more important or is general higher refresh good enough? I've only ever used 60hz monitors.

Attached: 1367856368198.png (390x411, 245K)

you'll be hard pressed to notice any difference over 75hz

pcpartpicker.com/list/Nf4qQZ

that blower vega 64 is going to be loud, unless you're fine with PS4 level noise

750Ti should be just fine with medium preset, CPU will bottleneck in multiplayer, because it runs like shit on quad cores, OC would probably help a bit, 4GB RAM is also a problem, you can probably get away with it in single player but expect some freezes/long loadings, dunno about MP (game can utilize about 8GB on 64 servers)

Attached: 1536182267258.jpg (1024x683, 47K)

So then it doesn't matter so much if the frames and refresh rate are divisible? I saw some things saying it helped reduce jutter, but I've only ever seen 60hz monitors so I don't really know much about higher refresh rates.

>I already have a psu
Sorry didn't read properly. Anyways deals are coming

i5 9600k vs 2700x

Mostly gaming.

I see some used open air 64's for similar prices on ebay. Is a a 56 good enough for 1440p 144hz with decent settings on most games, or is the 64 worth the upgrade?

What resolution?

vega 56 is perfect for a 1440p freesync monitor

As long as it's a Freesync monitor, you'll be fine.
56 is worthwhile if you don't mind tweaking. If not, the Vega64 is already at 1070ti/1080 levels of performance out of the box. Even still if I had the V64, I'd be undervolting the thing.

If you're strictly talking about 24 fps content and are not running any codec that "increases the framerate" by adding in between frames then you're not going to notice any difference at all between 60 and 120 Hz panels

Any decent case under 70 euro?
Looking for one easy to build in, that support two HDDs and 1 SDD and that won't turn a potential RX580 Nitro+ into an housefire with a shit airflow

looking for advice for upgrading my rig
current:
>fx8350
>asr 970 3.0
>8 ram
>shitty msi r7 250x
> 500 psu isnt even 80+
> no ssd but a lot of HDDs
> had to glue 40mm fan onto VRMs because they were overheating

What im looking for:
>good and stable preformance in low-demandig mp games (lol, csgo)
>few of newer titles have to run smooth as well (fallout 4, metro)
> good performance with video editing software (vegas)
>multitasking and heavy use (4 to 10 hrs a day)

Can do anything with this system and stay under 1000 usd or should i just save up a litte and buy new pc?

Attached: 1517587046392.png (694x632, 30K)

pcpartpicker.com/list/6d29vn

this will give you a better lifespan and upgrade path

Only buy EVGA cards that are still under their RMA warranty. If the card is burned out you can just RMA it and get a new one.

No you can't ya dummy.
EVGA Warranty is non-transferrable. You can only use it if you're the original buyer, afaik.
Doesn't make it a horrible service, though.

Attached: 1540711710759.jpg (279x312, 19K)

Fractal Focus G?
The unremovable 5,25" bays are cancer but it's solid cheap with 2 good front fans included

nzxt h500

it's not under 70 euro where i am though

>The warranty follows the product and not the person. The warranty is available for a time period of no more than 3* years from the EVGA shipping date. Long term warranties, purchased extended warranties and EAR plans do not transfer. Registration of the product under another user's account is possible.

just google evga transfer warranty

Upgrade gpu to something like 280x and youre fine. Definitely upgrade the psu too so it doesnt blow up. SSD will life make more tolerable when video editing so get that also.

R200 has a lot of space and holes, no dust filters though.

Thoughts on this for a high quality 1080p build for under $900 after tax. Focus is on longevity, thermals, and gaming performance at 60 FPS going forward.
pcpartpicker.com/list/743Fq4

Mobo/CPU are microcenter bundle priced. I went with the 550W platinum seasonic for quality and energy efficiency while the 25% off deal was running. However the estimated build calls for 315W I'm unsure if I'm underpowering it at 550 be sure it doesn't calculate the 4 fans on the Silverstone case. And if you're wondering why I'm going with the more expensive Sapphire ($250) over the red devil special ($220) is because the devil won't fit in any of the high air flow mesh cases I was choosing from.
Also for the OS I am gonna try and get a cheap OEM key from kinguin but I've never not bought retail before nor do I know if there will be sales in the windows 10 for black Friday

Attached: 89c04e4fa276a3a0-600x400.jpg (600x400, 28K)

you could do a lot with 1000 usd
pcpartpicker.com/list/vNhy3b

Fractal Design Focus G should be around 50 merkels everywhere in EU
Decent free space
2 decent front fans for intake already mounted, you need atleast 1 rear exhaust though
removable dust filters everywhere
Cons
Manageable cables space in the back but there are easier cases to work them
Not removable 5.25" bays if you don't need them, the fact you can't remove them without going hard way on them when all filters and HDDs cages are removable makes no sense
SDD mount is in the back and you need to mount it before the PSU because it will cover the screws holes for it

might as well get a CL14 ram kit
pcpartpicker.com/list/3pw6xG

What's commie about AMD?

its red

their product don't cost 150-200$ than they should like Intel and Nvdia

To preface this post, my system is as follows
au.pcpartpicker.com/list/rJ4qQZ

I recently won an Aorus Ultra Z390 motherboard.
What I'm wondering is if it's worth it to sell my current CPU/Mobo to buy an 8700K/9700K/9900K?
The rest of my system should still be compatible, but I don't really use much more than 8 threads, so I don't know.
I was thinking about selling the motherboard to upgrade my current system, but there's not much more I'd want to upgrade at this point.
Any suggestions?
Please no Ryzen suggestions. When it comes time for me to get off 8 threads, I'll consider what's best for the money, likely Ryzen seeing how things are going at the moment, and upgrade from there.

Any idea where I can pick up new Noctua NH-U12DO A3 coolers?

My bad.
So I guess you have to make an account and register the product under your name. Then you have to add the details like your address, email, invoice etc.
Now comes the fun part:
The invoice that you upload doesn't have YOUR name on it. Do they easily transfer warranty with such discrepancies? I legitimately want to know why a company would actually go through with such a procedure.

Asking again this small hard disk died in my laptop.
Can I buy SSD and slot in place?
Do they have the same socket?

Attached: IMG_20181116_171344.jpg (2340x4160, 3.19M)

>imagine buying 1080 just to get btfo by $300 card

Attached: file.png (744x736, 227K)

1440p 144hz

This a good buy for a i8700k system?

Attached: 1512002834160.png (2099x592, 334K)

Yes, no problem.

yeah gskill ripjaws can go to cl14 easily

9700k or 8400, the only 2 intel cpus worth buying.

if i only play dwarf fortress should i get a 2080 ti or will i be fine with a 2080?

I'd go with a 2600X and a decent B450 or midrange X470.

>$60 for 1-2 FPS difference in real world case use for same htz ram
Fucking why

>8400
lfmao
>9700k
Why bother? 8700 and 8700k makes more sense than that thing. 9700k should only be considered if it's the same as the 8th gen i7.

Just go with a 2080. If it's not enough, get a second one with NV link

because you buy intel cpu for single core perfromance and hyperthreading makes single core performance worse. There is a reason why everyone with 8700k disable hyperthreading when playing games using less than 6 cores. Might as well save yourself a hassle and just get 9700k which has better single core and multicore performance.

put your trip back on

the 1080 came out like 3 years ago

and 2070 came out like a month ago and its still worse than 1080 lol

>because you buy intel cpu for single core perfromance and hyperthreading makes single core performance worse
Yet that single core performance can be achieved with a cheaper 2600 setup. The only argument that could've been made for the 8400 was when it couldn't be touched for the money. Since two months ago, theres been absolutely no place on the market for that thing with cheap 2600s and B450 boards.
>There is a reason why everyone with 8700k disable hyperthreading when playing games using less than 6 cores
Unequivocally false. Even Battlefield uses more than half a dozen threads.
>Might as well save yourself a hassle and just get 9700k which has better single core and multicore performance
By spending more with margin of error improvements?

and? I bought my 1080 so long ago I'm not gonna cry about a $350 card beating it three years later

you mean r7 or r9?
thanxx

not true btw

This Fractal Design Focus G looks quite nicely for just 50 euros
Gonna consider it

youtube.com/watch?v=8qkXKmpOWa0
Battlefield is literally the only game that gets better fps with hyperthreading. In every other case having hyperthreading off is actually better.

this isn't linus tech tips therefore it isn't valid

Attached: 2018-11-17 (2).png (1366x768, 1.15M)

nvm theres no r7 280

Attached: 1525672151697.png (543x435, 128K)

Imagine paying more to get worse performance. 30fps difference thats bigger difference than between 2700x and 8700k lol

Attached: file.png (996x328, 539K)

Back again looking for opinions on the U2715H. It is looking more and more like this will be what I purchase, I would have gone for a newer model, or even the latest ones in the UltraSharp series, but they all have significantly worse input lag.

If you own this monitor, I'd love to hear your opinions on it. If you know a 1440p, 27 inch IPS monitor under or 500 dollars flat I would also love to hear it (mbest isn't an option where I live sadly)

Attached: Dell-Ultrasharp-U2715H.jpg (1500x1500, 131K)

imagine spending literally all your free time posting on /pcbg/

that was uncalled for

Attached: 1542007075692.jpg (1080x720, 114K)

I think the previous owner would have to transfer the warranty to the new owner. Never done it but another user suggested buying used EVGAs to minimize the risk.

XB271HU

700 dollars.

also it is one of the ugliest monitors I've ever seen. Normally I don't care AT ALL about the presentation of a monitor, but this is appalling.

Attached: 3410310.jpg (538x600, 23K)

Can't be helped

>new from $600 on Amazon
pony up man, it's worth it.
