Not bad knowing here in Italy you won't find much better for the price..
>hp
A waste of money. Don't buy HP laptops.
In my region I can get a Ryzen 5 Thinkpad E585 for less than that. And no not 'Murica.
What's wrong with hp laptops?
>intel
lad
They are shit. Look at videos of the latest ProBooks--their screen wobbles like cardboard
>Sistema operativo incluso Windows 10 Home
No because shintel processors are full of vulnerabilities that keep getting discovered. Get one of these two instead:
If you're going to run Windows on it, then yes it's fine. If you're going to run a real operating system on it, then get a used laptop for half the price.
i use thinkpad core2duo
In my experience, their speakers tend to suck (which could or could not be an issue with you), their laptop's repairability and cooling design is terrible. Most of the time you have to pull the entire laptop apart to reach certain parts and their cooling designs lead to overheating. I'd complain about their bloatware, but I feel like its common knowledge to just do a clean install of windows. Their laptops look good, but HP has some fetish for being good where it doesn't count and being shit where it does.
thanks
of course i'm not going to use win10, what laptop do you recommend?
I don't buy new laptops because I don't think they're a good value. I buy used/refurbished or go on Craigslist or buy/borrow one from work. I don't know what you intend to use it for, so I can't recommend a specific laptop.
Tell us what you intend to use the computer for.
school, programming, web browsing
my budget is 600 euros
>buy/borrow one from work
Enjoy your keylogger.
I installed OpenBSD on it and also use Tails
Your budget could be 200 Euros because you're not going to use much RAM, CPU or HD space. Having a 128GB SSD instead of 500GB will bring the cost down significantly. Put something efficient like OpenBSD or one of the good Linuxes on it and you'll be fine.
consider that this laptop has to last for at least 5 years (i'm probably going to give it to my parents)
my budget is 600 euros :/
The laptop in your OP will probably be good for 5 years.
Still, you can find very good, affordable, used/refurbished laptops that will last for several years. The best used/refurbished laptops are business grade laptops because they are made with sturdier parts and there are tons of them on the used/refurbished market. Many large companies automatically replace their laptops every 3 years even if the old laptops are still fast and in great condition. IBM Thinkpads, HP Elitebook, HP Folio, and Dell Latitude. Those are the only used/refurbished laptops I would consider buying.
I didn't realize it, but I just checked and the laptop I'm using right now is 5 years old. It's a Dell Latitude E7440, with a 14" screen, 16GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, and a quad-core i7. I offered to buy it from my company for $100 and they were going to sell it to me, but they are letting me borrow it for now, and I can either give it back or buy it whenever I want.
While we're in a similar vein store.hp.com
Why would you want a touchscreen laptop?
Don't really care about that, but decent processors, decent battery life, reasonable build quality, and dedicated GPU make for a nice package.
Try not to pay extra for a touchscreen and other feature's you'll never use.
no.
i bought a 15" model.
and they gave me a shitty 6bit ips panel with vertical banding. their display model in the store was good. the later batch is scam shit.
i paid with paypal and considering disputing.
