There's an app called iSH in development which runs Alpine Linux under an x86 emulator. The emulator uses JIT which makes it quite fast.
I hope it'll be a good Termux equivalent for iOS, since I miss command-line tools when using iOS.

that's impossible, you can't do userland RWX pages on iOS so recompilation won't work.
I still hope iSH is cool though.
SMloadr has instructions in its readme for running it on Termux.
It compiles to a list of pointers to gadgets. While not true recompilation, it’s not as slow as normal emulation.
