So what are your HDD setup and encryption Jow Forums ?

nope I've been on Jow Forums these last years I just want to talk about encryption ffs
Julian Powell
I'll start Is there a way to achieve real full-disk encryption? dm-crypt leaves /boot unencrypted since you need it to launch the system and execute the sbin/cryptsetup. This makes it vulnerable to a backdoored cryptsetup. even if carrying a /boot USB what's stopping from some other person inserting a malicious /boot USB ? Or should we just accept that once somebody has unrestricted physical access to a HDD then it's game over

fucko threads... now THOSE were good... yep *sips from maximum security prison library*

The lawmen would just plant evidence if they've already gone through the effort to raid you. Literally all they need to do is "find" a zip diskette somewhere near your dwelling.
>"FBI, open up!" >press ctrl+alt+shift+meta+d+return >drills mounted on servos drill through hdds >after drills are done thermite gets lit inside hdds >explosives set up all around my house detonate >mfw I hid in a refrigerator like in Indiana Jones
You have epoxy-glued your RAM sticks and USB ports right, anons?
LUKS for linux machines (+ veracrypt containers inside the OS) VeraCrypt for windows machines (+ veracrypt containers inside the OS)
>he doesn't log himself 24/7 just install some cameras in your house that records all the time. This way, if a fucko plants something or says that you were in another part of the city at a specific timepoint, you can always just slap them on the face with video evidence.
Same reason why I always keep detailed logs of what I am doing infront of my computer (recording screen all the time, taking screenshots when posting something etc) so that if someone accuses me of something, I can always slap them on the face with video/photographic evidence
same reason why I always have a dictaphone or cellphone with me to record every noise around me, if someone accuses me of saying something, i can just slap them on the face with audio evidence
Several mentions of the slapping of the face. Is there something you'd like to tell us?
David Perry
I would formulate it this way: >B-but I dont have anything to hide! Everybody, who is more interesting than a 3 day old piece of bread has something to hide.
>If I've done nothing wrong there is no reason to search me. Are you sure, that you never said something in your life, which couldn't used against you. The context doesn't matter.

Is a a phone running lineageOS without gapps installed the way to go?

His dad slapped him on the face and now hes obsessed with proving he isn't doing anything wrong so he won't get slapped in the face.
Caleb Gutierrez
Yeah man totally trust Indians doing it just for free ;)
Wyatt Morales
oh yeah dude qualcomm is honest company and would never have backdoors and always broadcast information enabled in hardware dude bro

Dilling might work, but thermite can be tricky to get working.
Is there any reason why you wouldn't just use. >Hidden encrypted server >It's in a hidden compartment, or hidden at your neighbors place >Panic button simply shuts it down
Wyatt Walker
Regular police isn't given info on exploiting hardware backdoors. Those fuckers can't even crack bitlocker. And if it's the nsa that is after you, you've likely already fucked up enough for them to lock you up for good.
Jeremiah Miller
I'd like to add: What you have to hide is not decided by you but your government.
Jaxson Thomas
Sounds pretty cool, bro. See I've always wanted to create a network of Raspberry Pi's and hide them where there's free wifi and make a network of them. Maybe figure out a way to decentralize the data and stuff as well.

This is one of the most autistic posts i have ever read

This sounds like a well thought plan but it also sounds very inconvenient. Having to record everything all the time and keeping your records safe so you don't lose data or spill it to some spies. I like that you're doing it but I couldn't see myself do that, it's too much energy.
