Uh, what servers? VPN is created locally. And this is a moot point in other cases as well, especially given how hard is to prove something like this and how few decentralized servers of anything exist.

For YouTube, use the YouTube Vanced magisk module or newpipe
Network Analyst here with a CompTIA Network Cert II, can confirm uBlock Origin only visually hide ads and checking my various network monitors multiple ad network websites continue to load behind the scenes, only when they are fully loaded does uBlock Origin hide the ads in question.
Now I'm no Adblock Plus shill, Infact I still use the old HOSTS file method but with this information in mind I cannot recommend uBlock Origin to anyone who is serious about blocking (not hiding) ads.
The proof can be obtained by anyone, grab your preferred network monitor and see the results for yourself.
