I honestly don't get it. Arch is nothing more than running a pacstrap script to install all the packages required to operate. It's no more complicated than installing Debian. I've installed both and Arch is far simpler.

I stuck with Debian because it's so snappy. Applications instantly pop up. In Arch, there was always a second or two delay like I was on Windows.

I used to think it was ok until a few years ago when they moved everything over to a bar on the left, and if you had more than one terminal it crammed them all into one so that you had to click a few times to find a specific one, and in the same update they added the gay animation where the icons sorta bounced a little when they moved. at that point I decided to let the reddit/microsofties/macfags or whoever was in charge of gnome have their shit, and moved to xfce.

that and they got rid of the old maximize/minimize icons and changed to the idiotic red green and yellow lights. I'd lay 100:1 odds that shit came from mac or windows. I kinda understand red means stop and green means go, but what the fuck does it mean to "caution" a window. jesus.
