It's called progress.
You may not like it.
But that's what peak performance looks like.

Life is so fucking unfair. Imagine being a fat chestlet and seeing someone like that.

No respectable computer turns on without a 750hz square wave tone.
It is the proof that the machine is an ibm PC compatible, able to run the whole legacy of code, and that it is free to boot and run the fuck you want.

Why even bother having blue boards

If she was a CPU shed be a 64core threadripper 3 and if she was a supercomputer she'd be a Cray xmp

My best hardware buy of the year.

Why can't I hold all this vomit?

Attached: VomitChan.jpg (680x680, 82K)

I've been using a computer with an abit motherboard pretty much every day since the end of 2007, and I'm using it right now to post this. it's been pretty reliable and has worked fine for over 10 years now. and abit stopped existing in 2009 so that picture must be old as fuck too.

I should probably consider building a new computer since my current one is over 10 years old, but I just can't be bothered and this computer still does what I need

>cables are not RGB lit
wut

Merica' & Japs slappin chips on some fiberglass.
IC production got cheap. Japs have tiny hands to assemble and hand solder.
Chinese penny slaves and SMT robots.
"Just shove it all on one chip" - ARM bois

I use red because it makes the cpu faster. Even 3 times as fast if I play the Gallant Char theme.

reckon that can run paperboy no problem

Looks about the same to me? If you redesigned the first board using today's chip sizes, you'd probably get something similar (though considerably more empty since the second board has many more features).

Everything is generic and similar, so looks are the easiest way to stand out, and the consumer base that wants them is stupid and likes flashy things.

Incredible miniaturization, battery, and wireless technology

Widescale corruption and globalism

Fuck, not globalism, corporatism. Getting my criticisms confused.

Probably better than sitting in a landfill somewhere. Or ending up as dust on some 6 year old kid's hands and lungs.

>tfw some years from now these will be found all over the world abandoned

Are these mining farms the ASIC ones or the ones strapped with Intel/AMD top-tier processors?

Surprised no one mentioned this one yet. Currently working with it right now for a robotics project.

Attached: BB.png (500x313, 302K)

ASIC, TSMC is going to have a lot of cheap 7nm capacity freed up soon

Is Zotac bad though? I know their 1080ti amp extreme is a piece of shit, but their other cards get good reviews.

Holy fuck, what are they going to do with those ASICs once they abandon the Bitcoin farming? Just dump them?

probably cheaper to abandon them in place

Attached: 1539843852190.jpg (2500x1406, 748K)

Miniaturization.

Jesus fuck, is there no way to repurpose the ASICs other than smelting them?

Not really. They're only useful for SHA-256 computations which will be worthless once quantum computers become commonplace.

Wait a second, so if hundreds of bitcoin farms like this exist and they're really useful at SHA-256, can they be used to bust modern cryptography for passwords?

Probably but quantum computers are far faster at it. That's why they'd become useless - quantum computers will be able to crack current cryptography in seconds.

You certainly could, they still have value in the fact that you essentially have a super computer. Its a one trick pony but if you can use it to crack some passwords, might even have the govt (Chinese) start buying up used miners.

Quantum computers aren't going to happen in our lifetime. It's a fun thought experiment for Ivory tower "computer" "scientists" but no one could build one as the design currently stands. It would take more atoms than exist in the known universe.

Stop talking about fucking "quantum" Its not feasible nor is it a think yet.

Right now in this moment is all that matters. REEEE

>nor is it a thing yet
IBM already sells access to them.

Alright that's actually pretty fucking scary if you think how can they weaponize these bitcoin farms.

Quantum computers aren't going to become mainstream in our lifetime anytime soon nor will they be able to crack cryptography that's properly set-up.
>believing IBM's marketing shenanigans

>believing IBM's marketing shenanigans
If you don't believe IBM, you can believe Intel or Google. Both have quantum chips.

sha 256?

yea but wat they actually do with them?

Getting used to programming for them and running small simulations.

That's their actual purpose desu, to crack password hashes

I inhaled a resistor a few weeks back. Like, accidently breathed in a piece of technology from ambient air currents caused by my fucking existance. There are components meant to be inserted between the layers of a PCB.

Let that shit sink in for a moment would ya?
