no. not even close.

maybe not bottleneck. put you would for sure see a big fps increase by getting the newest ryzen / i5

Get a Radeon HD7970, that thing sits right between a 1050 and a 1050ti, yes the tdp is high but it's less than $100.

Best upgrade I've ever done.

Or an old sandy bridge clocked at over 3.2ghz.

lol

Yes. I used an 8350 for a while with a 1060 6GB and it bottle necked it

>AMD FX-6300

Why?
Ryzen exist. Literally no point in building a new FX system.

It's accurate enough,,, anything less than 10% is not considered a bottleneck btw

Patrician's choice user, it served me well.
If you don't want to change motherboard you should get an 8350, It's pretty good and matches up well with the 960 so it shouldn't bottleneck the 1060 too much

This, 8350+1050ti or 1060 is still really good if you have the AM3+ board already.

The bottleneck is your inability to spell "edition"

Don't forget, that memory subsystem overclock > CPU overclock

>1.392ish volts
Is that thing prime95 stable with AVX? that's fuckin awesome if you got an 8350 that does 4.5 with that vcore, mine only does 4.4

Nah they are basically well matched.
That said a i7 7700k or 1600x would give you triple minimum fps and better avg-highs as well and are cheap as piss used
1060 suck too especially founders

Honestly depends on whether or not your game effectively uses multiple threads.

I stoped testing with prime long ago, so pretty sure my proc won't pass it. What matters is that it's stable will all my gayman. I pushed it to 4.8 this summer but temps weren't reasonable at ~1.48 V, I can try again, because it's colder inside but whatever.

I'm a bit let down that my generic 1600 MHz Samsung sticks couldn't even get to 2133 tho.

Also mirin that HT overclock!

Don't be too hard on those sticks, 2000mhz is still pretty impressive, I can get my HyperX fury 1866 sticks to 2050mhz on stock 1.5v before it refuses to post and I don't want to overvolt them.

Thanks, 4.4GHz with 1.38 load line calibrated should be possible on all 8350s, 1.44375v gets me to 4.5 but it hits close to 70c.
