Imagine:
If you had spent that time working for minimum wage, you would have earned 100.000 to 300.000 $.
If you had spent that time learning something, you would now have a doctorate, or be otherwise really smart.
If you had spent just a tiny fraction of that time doing some exercises, you would now command a spectacularly attractive body. What do you have now, after all that time, from gaming? I cannot see anything else than fake achievements, and you with a broken mind in a broken body in poverty.
Thats only if you never got any value out of playing videogames. If playing videogames provides some sort of value in your life or skills that you build, its not a bad thing. People will find ways to use their time - I know of one person who's obsessed with being "productive" - she got a good/prestigious job - she worked so hard so broke her own body. Because she can't keep still, she ended spending those money on shopping/eating. She has to keep a busy social life, so she ended up hooking up with random men and stop focusing on her own family/kids She feels guilty to simply sit down to watch tv/read a book She has no friends because she's too much of an energy vampire and don't know how to "chill" Eventually all those productivity amounted to nothing.
