Stop using "smol" you are not a girl on facebook knock it the fuck off faggot
Caleb Evans
I posted this on le old thread but here: Anybody know of a "good" free video editor for android that doesn't have a fucking watermark or is really shirty (im not looking for desktop teir editing but at least something decent) (Also no,I don't have a computer)
what the fuck happened with the cellphone market. just make laptops cheaper already, jesus christ
Jacob Walker
they all got greedy as the devices gained popularity and ability that's why chinkshit is recommended the most here
Josiah Russell
Actually I looked and I think I might go with the one plus 6t it is almost a note 9 without the Samsung garbage and about half the price
Henry Barnes
DRAM manufacturers colluding on prices
Kevin Mitchell
I'm going to buy a phone tomorrow off ebay with the 15% off code, I'm stuck between s9/+ and the 6/t
i'm really just looking for a phone that will last me 4+ years, which of these will make that happen
Blake Reed
Does a case interfere on phones with an edge to edge display like all the recent xperias?
Jordan Martinez
I just looked and the 6t seems like the better deal can even get twice the storage and still pay less then most Samsung things
Anthony Sullivan
Of course it does. Especially when you try to drag an icon to another screen.
Kayden Thompson
good on ya lad, way to not be a complete retard
Nathan Clark
If you don't mind the notch and the camera, definitely get the 6T.
Hunter Lee
>Need a new phone, have been using a Nexus 5 for years, and it’s become a laggy POS >Findout the OnePlus 6 is on sale >They don’t have the 256gb version, because it’s out of stock F U C K. After using a nexus 5, I will never buy a phone without ample storage space again. Any hope it will be back in stock before the sale ends? F U C K
Julian Carter
I would buy a phone without a camera I barely use them and the notch is still annoying but much less aggressive than most notches
Josiah Butler
Man the Xperias really fell off. The XZ3 has battery issues too, just all around fucked up.
Ethan Hall
What do you need so much space for? Genuinely curious. I have 128 GB, and I'm not even close to filling it.
Parker Howard
What the hell do you need 256gb of on a phone?
Eli Turner
>especially if you like rooting/unlocking/flashing I'll be blunt with you, I never bothered with that. Would the Nokia (with gcam installed) suit my casual-ass needs better? It's the only one of the four that doesn't have a glass back, which is a big plus in my eyes. Also looking into it deeper, if I buy from ebay the chance of it not arriving in time before I leave on vacation is high, so I guess the V30 is out.
Grayson Myers
>he doesn't carry at least 100 hours of 4K anal scenes with him bruh
Oliver Harris
TV shows music game isos things like that
Daniel Roberts
Anal is disgusting.
Carson Jenkins
The white version just came back in stock (when it was sold out almost all day), so it likely will. Just keep watch.
It's cheaper to buy a 200gb+ card than it is to opt for a higher gb model of the phones plus if your phone conks your pornos won't be stored on it, ready and waiting for the repairman to see.
Camden Martin
>"notches are a really cool idea, a bigger screen is always pretty great" >Actually gets a notched phone Holy shit was I wrong. It's always in the way and contradicts swiping up on anything.
Josiah Edwards
What phone?
Colton Hall
Assuming you keep the phone for years, a bigger amount of storage is useful against Storage deterioration.
Levi Kelly
Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite. Didnt wanna get the non-lite version cause no headphone jack, but my opinion on the notch has changed a lot since I got it.
Nicholas Perez
How does it get in the way?
Camden Clark
That's kind of what I was afraid of. I was thinking about going for a more modern device, but ended up settling on a Moto X4 because of the conventional 5.2 inch form factor and the headphone jack. Hopefully I'll be able to ride it long enough that either the notchless edge-to-edge meme is perfected with the G8 or something, or I can come to terms with having a bite out of my screen The Moto X4 exists, though it's actually a late 2017 model.
Jose Russell
Okay, I'm trying to understand that state of the Moto x4 So the 32gb is normal, but are all the 64gb versions Android one? Will an Android one device get its updates just the same on any carrier? There's like 5 different xt1900 versions but I'm have doubts that getting the right hardware variant just makes it that.
Jackson Thompson
Why do people care about updates when there's hardly any difference between full numbered android updates? You don't actually care about security updates on a PHONE do you? People literally exploit their own phones just to get root access.
Jacob Lopez
I think it depends on your market. In Australia, I bought the XT1900-2, which is the 64/4 model rather than the 32/3 one. It's not considered an 'Android One' device but so far seems to be getting pretty regular updates anyway. I don't think the storage/ram pairing directly relates to the Android One status but I could be wrong.
Levi Allen
The Motorola site just says the 64GB is Android one and then just links to Google fi. I don't care about the capacity, but I'd rather have more updates rather than extra Moto shit. How are you liking it? I just want something smaller and a good camera.
Jordan Torres
If i want to unlock my device i have to swipe up on the left or right side of the screen. If i swipe up on the middle and over the notch, 100% of the time, the clock just jumps a bit and nothing happens.
I gave the notch a chance and I was sorta disappointed. Taking and viewing screenshots is wierd because the screenshot is not 100% of the screen size due to the notch, just little things like that that just rub me the wrong way.
Angel Young
These sound like Xiaomi specific problems. Have none of these issues on my 6T, including swiping up over the notch to unlock. Same with screenshots. Mine are the same res as the phone (pic related).
And it’s gone. That was quick. Some people probably returned it.
William Taylor
From my quick look around I suspect that the Android One model is only being sold through Google's telco, so have fun with that I guess. Could also be a regional market segmentation thing.
I'm really enjoying mine so far, had it for I think three weeks. Screen's nice and crisp with nice colour reproduction, battery life has been great and the camera's surprisingly nice for all the moaning I heard online about it. It looks like Motorola's improved the camera app experience significantly given that I'm not running into any of the slowness the reviews were complaining about. The photos themselves seem pretty nice too, the sensor is lower res than my old Sony's but for my money the pictures themselves might actually be a little nicer. You can download a build of gcam for it too if you want to. Performance has been great, everything is pretty snappy, 1080p weebshit decodes without a hitch and the overall experience is one I'd describe as a distinct upgrade from my old Xperia Z5, as much as I loved that phone. Physically the device is nice. Build quality's good, IP68 is nice to have, feels very 'premium' in the hand even if I'd probably rather the durability of a metal or plastic back rather than glass. The phone's a touch slippery, never really had any trouble in my hand but I've had it slide off the edge of my bed once or twice. When on a flat surface it also gets propped up on the camera bump, since it's centered it's not really a problem though. The fingerprint sensor is fast enough to give TouchID a run for its money and the speaker, though mono, gives pretty pleasing sound without that high, tinny quality you might expect from a cheaper phone. Perfectly fine for listening to a youtube video or a podcast or something on without breaking out the headphones. Motorola's software customizations are pretty subtle and surprisingly helpful. 1/2 since I'm fucking vomiting words here.
Gavin Reyes
Not sure why you would buy that, in 2018. It’s only got a few months of updates left, and the “sale” they had this Black Friday is the same price they sold it for last year for Black Friday.
2/2 The pseudo-always-on screen that turns on when it detects being picked up to show you notifications and battery is nice and I'm actually enjoying the gesture-based options to turn on the flashlight and quick open the camera. Tapping three fingers to the screen to take screenshots is also nice. Not sure if those features actually ship on the Android One version, I've seen conflicting reports there. That's about everything I can think to mention about the phone, really liking it as a simple smartphone. Built nicely, lasts a solid day and a bit, has the performance to knock day to day shit out of the park and even does an alright job of some of the more modern games out there though it's no Razer Phone 2 or anything.
Adam Ward
>Mine are the same res as the phone Oh nono, mine are the same, but when viewing them in the gallery at fullscreen mode any screen space above the start of the notch is just black and the screenshot itself is squeezed up a bit. Would make a lot more sense for the notch to just cover a bit of the picture imo
Jacob Roberts
>double notches jeez
Jose Bennett
The TL;DR is that I like it. If you've got any questions about the phone that someone who owns it might be able to help with, I'm happy to try and answer them.
Owen Phillips
I'd try another gallery app. If I have a screenshot of my home screen open, it's impossible to tell whether you're looking at a screen shot or the home screen. It fills the screen perfectly.
Charles Reyes
Thanks for the insight. Got a case recommendation?
$200? $250 for the 65gb?
I was looking at this and the mi2a lite but why go chink if I can get something similar?
I'm wanting budget, small, and good camera. And without bloat
Austin Perez
Oh? Maybe it's my gallery's fault then. I'm using the open source Simple Gallery app.
Isaac Cooper
Yeah, I just tried it with OnePlus gallery and Google Photos. The former scales it perfectly. The latter shrinks it with black bars all around, and I have to zoom in to full screen it. That's the problem with all these different devices using their own aspect ratios and notch varieties. Hard to get a really consistent experience outside of stock apps.
Jaxon Stewart
Can I get a decent samsungshit for around 200€? Always hated their naming scheme.
Gabriel Flores
I've been using it without a case so far. Motorola basically don't exist at retail in Australia anymore despite the company maintaining a division here so nobody local to me stocks cases. Looked at a few on Amazon, probably going to order some basic bitch transparent plastic one soon.
Jordan Davis
Yup my experience is the same as your google photos. I guess I'll just have to wait for the dev to take the notch into consideration.
William Williams
trying to debloat Xiaomi MIUI with Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools, but it won't open on windows, how do i use/fix this?
might buy the mi mix 2s but im worried about usb-c to 3.5mm dongles. are all usb-c to 3.5mm dongles equal and if so whats the best and cheapest usb-c to 3.5mm dongle i can get?
$200. Not the best price given it was that price last year
Sebastian Barnes
>using simple gallery when the dev is locking features behind a paywall

>Galaxy F is 4.8" in phone mode

Camera Roll on F-droid not only does it just werk it also gives you the option to either load shit from media API or force scan it finds shit on sdcards too
