New rig

So I was thinking putting together a new rig. My gtx 950 with ddr 3 ram starting to suck balls. My question is what CPU and GPU should I buy to last me at least 2 more years and have 60fps or above in AAA games, 1080p on very high?
Pic unrelated, too expensive.

Does the Rx 580 have 2 more years in it?

1070 ti with i5 6800 not K
I play bf5 on ultra and AC origins (that is badly optimized) on ultra too.
Have a 1080p display.

Thanks, is 60 Hrz enough?

R7 2700x + vega 56
Or just waitâ„¢

oh my god fuck the fuck off go to PCBG and SQT

75hz monitors are about the same pricewise
Your monitor puts the upper limit on what would be useful and what would be placebo, so build around it
Also go to the PC building general here on g

I play on 60hz and max settings made me wonder if 144hz is really usefull

Well, depends on what you mean by useful.
It's certainly a huge quality of life upgrade, everything feels smoother, not just games. There's way less screen tearing, if any if you have a sync monitor.
Games feel incredibly more responsive and snappy, and I get less headaches from long gaming sessions now.
I had Battlefield V put my game at 60hz and I noticed instantly how everything was choppy and stuttery, then I switched back to 144hz and the dream was back on.
However, once you go 144hz, you'll never wanna go back, and you'll always be chasing those frames, so you'll have to spend lots of money on CPU/GPU to maintain that, or play with potato settings.

What GPU&CPU do you have?

Guys, I'm thinking about getting the intel 9900K processor but I'm worried about the cooling. Will pic related be enough or should I get a beffier industrial refrigent water chiller? I know this is what most people buy the 9900K with but maybe it's not enough.

Sage

>1080p60 very high
nigga you can do that with an rx570 + a i3 8100 or a r5 2400g, wtf

For 2-3 more years?

yes

I'm still using a GTX 960 as the primary GPU at 1440p 144hz. And 4k 60hz.

I've been telling myself to hold off for 7nm since 2015 when I bought this GPU.
