Navi will initially launch as a mid tier GPU with RTX 2070 or slightly lower performance for $250-$300 in the second quarter of 2019. It will still have GCN built because...lazy game devs. Navi+ will release in the fourth quarter and will sit somewhere around GTX 1080 Ti levels at a lower cost. youtube.com/watch?v=4_o8vrJnQ9Q
Getting a $300 card with GTX1080 performance is literally the dream for 1080p. I'd be set for 5+ years.
Daniel Powell
The Navi they're releasing next year will basically be the same as the Navi in the PS5. Makes sense that all their dev time is going into the next gen consoles.
After PS5 is out they'll start work on high end PC 4k memes.
Camden Gutierrez
>What do you mean don't expect too much. most people just want to play battlefield with all settings maxed out and motion blur, ridiculous contrast and v-sync so that losing with a 0.03 k/d ratio looks really good
Navi will have similar performance to the 1080 and 2070 and will cost ~$300
Christopher Myers
That's delusional when AMD recently released an overclocked RX 580 for $50 extra.
Their new cards will be just as a much of a ailure as their VEGA lineup (for gamers)
James Nelson
Top kek, ao accurate.
Man, I'll be building a desktop in Q1 or Q2 after I move with Ryzen 3000, would be really sweet to pair it with a cheap Navi with 2070 performance levels.
>5ghz 3800x/3700x >Navi 96 Fug yeah, will be a blast playing csgo at 720p low~high mixed settings.
Kayden Bailey
That's what I plan on doing too, the only issue is RAM pricing is still retarded.
Jose Barnes
Nvidia will just launch a 7nm GPU range and everything will be badly optimised and unplayable on a mid range AMD card outside of 1080p medium settings within a couple years
Cameron Bell
that's not how it works you mong
amd ages well nvidia ages badly
Hunter Young
You've bought into the hype, AMD isn't magic Early GCN was just severely under utilized because it was rushed out and the drivers were improved over the years, but we havent seen much improvement since Polaris. And by all accounts Navi is going to also be GCN so i dont expect much improvement unless Navi is really broken when it launches
Alexander Morales
Remember before the RX480 launch how it was being talked up to be so much higher in performance than it ended up being in reality?
I'm not an AMDrone you imbecile, I've had many desktops and all were Intel, and just bought one AMD GPU and many nvidia. But now AMD has very competent CPUs, and I don't need a high end GPU since I mainly just play 720p CS as I said (at 240hz though).
If next year it comes out and ends out being a disappointment, I guess I'll get a 9700k/8700k/9900k or whatever, I'm not a fanboy, don't put me into the same bag as you inbreds.
Hunter Adams
>hardware banter >marketing campaigns
Jack Nelson
I stopped buying and GPUs, because they don't have a decent cuda, or nvenc equivalent.
Joseph Collins
>Marketing campaigns >On an obscure mongolian throat singing board It's just fanboys throwing shit against each other.
Anthony Kelly
>Obscure It hasn't been "obscure" for a decade, and the hacker known as Jow Forums has been deemed extremely influential for at least that long.
Aaron Powell
Nvidia also used it clout to retard the adoption of DX12/Vulkan API because it sucks on their Fermi-derived silicon. Turing is their first DX12-tier GPU so I expect DX12/Vulkan adoption to really pick up.
Robert Bell
>It will still have GCN built because...lazy game devs. GCN is merely an ISA.
Hudson Jackson
Yeah I saw that video too. Sucks the 96/128cu navi + won't beat a 2080ti but it could all change.
Honestly until mcm gpu tech comes big Monolithic dies will only go so far even on 7nm
Josiah Rogers
Why hate on NAVIs? They're great once you install the legendary Psyche peripheral chip.
Navi will be wonderful. It will be 1080 performance for $300. A magic driver will make it better than a 1080 Ti. It will age like fine wine.
Carter Myers
Fury x was 980 performance for $600
Vega was 1070 performance for $700
Navi will be 1080 performance for $800
Samuel Morris
Are they not going to make a newer model of Vega 64? Should I still try to get that GPU then?
Ayden Fisher
>it will still have GCN built You're a fucking Pajeet. Vega64 already competes with the GTX 1080, and takes shots at the 1080ti in some titles. >hurry second gen Navi will only compete with the 1080ti guys, trust me
Nicholas Cooper
That's what happens when retards believe currytech """leaks""".
Noah Reyes

Parker Ortiz
>Don't expect too much from Navi. >Navi will initially launch as a mid tier GPU with RTX 2070 or slightly lower performance for $250-$300 Are you fucking serious? Considering 2070 costs $600 buying Navi will be a no-brainer. Don't expect too much my ass.
Dominic Allen
Most likely it will be a beta test for Navi before releasing PS5. There is no reason to release PS5 on 14nm instead of 7nm.
Hudson Bailey
Me neither
Adrian Sanchez
nigga I literally just bought a 1080 for 450 at microcenter.
Mason Garcia

>AMD re-re-releases Polaris to keep OEMs happy >the new arch will be shit because of this I'd say that's a non-sequitur, but I fear such big word would confuse a retarded vedditor like you, so I won't
It does logically follow, because for a card to be comparable to a 1080 at $300 is financially irresponsible for AMD, especially if they have spent money developing their "new arch".
People buy based on price tags, not by how economjical a purchase is.
