Noise isn't bad with the correct fan profiles, Temperatures are great, my 1070 stays under 55 and my liquid temp in the 150i stays under 30. I'm right by an ac unit though which helps. Dust is as good as an open air system can be. I blow out the rad every 3 months.

If you ask who im quoting ill ddos u kid. The main appeal is the nice picture, very nice display, the keyboard, and lastly the idea of a tiling WM on a tablet with just no mouse in sight.
Even paper thin tablets can be tiring to hold there is no way a foldable laptop is going to be as practical in many situations. The only place the laptop wins is sitting up right in a good chair with it on your lap(as they should be used why is it so hard to use a laptop comfortable in bed)

They do have the best keyboards. Typing on my t61p is a pleasure. I would still consider it a compromise when compared to something like that vortex core though.
I guess my main points are the display, comfy shitposting from your richboy programmer chouch, and that he is actually using a tiling WM on a surface.
The rounded corners and picture quality went a long way to eliciting that response from me as well.
I see your point though. I would still prefer the surface because I own a foldable laptop and have used it maybe once this year. They're only comfortable at a desk and at a deks theyre less comfortable than a desktop.

That’s NOT what I said, though. I didn’t say it wasn’t worth my time asking someone to do something, user asked why we didn’t fix it ourselves. Why should I waste office hours by borrowing someone’s car (I don’t drive my own to work because it’s 15 minutes walk) and driving to the hardware store and buy plaster and tools just to fix an inch-wide bump in the corner of a developer’s office? Like, who cares that much about office aesthetics for grunts like me?
Also, my salary is 58,300 NOK per month (a little more than $6,800 USD), which is around $42 per hour given 162 working hours per month. I’m pretty sure my boss wouldn’t be happy to spend $84 for the two hours it would take me where I temporarily suspended my normal work tasks as well. In no way would it be the $5 projected by the other user.
