I wouldn't bother. most people who go to CS schools are either self-loathing introverts who don't know basic etiquette, or extremely extroverted redditors who constantly seek approval from others and don't want to think for themselves. there's no in between as far as I'm aware.

You talk to them you retard

They look at me like I'm worthless when I try to.

Stop being worthless.

That's how it works. Every person is worthless until they prove the opposite to you.
You have to socialise with them and show you're not worthless for them.

ask them if they llay fortnite, they will automatically give you their ID and a discord to join

But that's hard. Can't I just find people to talk to online?

Where are you located?

here's a small Jow Forums discord, we have a few people but we're like you
discord.gg/GnvyBVX

Just show them your riced gentoo i3 installation

Is it a circle jerk?

currently in my database class while typing this.
Should probably be paying attention but god butt fucking dammit do I hate SQL

Lurking..

I hope you know it already, because it's an essential skill

Fuck you no it's not. I've interned with many company's and spoke with many software programmers and always ask them.

They all tell me it's retarded and haven't used it once since graduating

bumpity dumpity

Fuck sql

You go to the exercise room or whatever place your peers gather to work on assignments and introduce yourself there.

Change majors now if you are not retarded.
Apply for coding jobs now if you are retarded.

Meanwhile in Trade School:
>Dude bros
>Extroverts
>Absolute retards
>cool normal people

I'm afraid you're screwed OP. Should've done a trade

make smalltalk about assignments with the people next to you, ask questions to your peers to get them talking, be funny and not a fucking autist. i've met a ton of people in my major and made plenty of friends and i don't really like people much just doing that. there's a shitton of spergs though, no joke.

what discord server isn't a circlejerk

>How do I make friends in my CS classes?
I think i understand them

more existential memes pls

>done a trade
I don't think OP wants to earn minimum wage

You have to go out of your way, put yourself out there, and try and talk to people. As an introvert, this will be work. Until a few of them start to reciprocate. Then it's fun and beneficial. You have to "go first" a lot in CS classes, I've noticed. A lot of people are perfectly fine with failing the class pecking at their new laptop doing """VERY IMPORTANT """ things while ignoring the cohort they'll be entering the field with in a few months. I might be projecting a bit to my younger self, here. I think it still applies.

it's just tables

Meanwhile in Trade Schools
>Desperate Gen-xers
>Drunks
>People you're genuinely surprised can breathe while working at the same time
>occasional ex-cons
>That one weird dude whose clearly Ivy-league brilliant but is too fucking lazy to try
>2-3 girls who are basically guys but still manage to be the center of attention

You're not fooling anybody, lots of us went to a trade school. shit is packed to the brim with freakazoids.

Don't worry about making cs friends. Make friends with people in other classes or people who live near you. Just because you're studying to be a programmer doesn't mean you have to hang out with nerds
