I can afford both of these quite easily (50k savings at 21), I just can't justify spending stupid amounts on a phone/computer before I have a house though

I get not everyone wanting an iphone, but imo the macbook pro is quite clearly the best "casual use" device out there. I'm not the sort of virgin who spends ages fucking around with their computer, I want it to just work when I'm studying.

The phone and laptop I'd choose depend on what kind of private and work life I have, which is a direct consequence of my financial situation.
So if money isn't an issue it means thatthat it's not an issue in what's causing me to choose what I'd choose, so in that case I'd ideally be a normie who enjoys life and doesn't have to waste his time setting up his perfect workstation, because I'd just use the computer for basic stuff like emails, documents, etc. and if I had that life I'd just go for a maxed out MBP and a maxed out iPhone xs plus.

But if you mean that nothing changes in my life except that I get one free laptop and phone of my choice, I'd get the highest spec lenovo that came out recently (cba to look for the specific model) and a Galaxy Note 9 (or whatever the latest Note is).

phones go for sub 100$ unless you need ishit so it is never a money constraint, unless you travel or have to work during commute money is better spent elsewhere than a laptop
