whats wrong with listening to flacs on my phone? the v40 has a good enough dac right?

You aren't a storagelet are you OP?

The difference between a FLAC and a 320kbs MP3 is barely audible with studio grade headphones in a quiet setting, how on earth are you supposed to hear the difference among all the ambient noise using your $10 chinkshit earphones?

T-they say that the Galaxy S8 has a really ebin DAC

>implying choosing to store over 5 times as much music in the same amount of space with zero (0) perceivable difference in quality is a bad thing

but why would you choose lesser quality even though you can afford to have higher quality audio files?

If there is literally no audible difference and you're not saving the files for archival purposes on your phone, why not go for the smaller file size?

bet you also carry around a dac and some huge sennheiser meme headphones

I take an amp if I'm using my Sony headphones because it drives them better but most of the time I just use my PortaPros

I need my fix of placebo.

Are Porta Pro good? Been looking for headphones without noise cancellation to use when going outside...

im gonna get you on a technicality real quick. you just said there is an audible difference. also im not a very good case bc my library is fuggin tiny (

They're pretty nice for that, if I keep the volume at a moderate level I can still hear traffic

>They don't listen to opus 1.3 encoded files 128kbps VBR on their DAP and occasionally on their phone, both equipped with Chink mSD-cards while also having files that were too rare to obtain in any lossless/uncompressed format and thus would have to be transcoded which is a big no-no and also having a file folder on hand with files encoded inna lossy codec of choice that was encoded using dolby surround DSP's in foobar to have that sweet fake soundtage for extra comfy listening.

I hear a difference with flac vs mp3 on my phone better than on my computer. Using Tin Audio T2

Anyone can, the question is
at what bitrate?
128kbps mp3 is shit,90% could differentiate btween the two

There's nothing wrong with listening to FLACs on my phone over a bluetooth headset.

This.
Fuck using a phone.

>thinking theres a difference between mp3s and flacs

Because you can stream music at 320kbs rather than autistically managing it yourself.

If I wanted to waste space, I'd just store uncompressed .wav instead of .ogg

>$50+ phone bill
No.

Always comes down to poorfags.

I can get unlimited(35gb) 4g data for $50 if I need it.

My data usage is no more then 5gb per month browsing the web, 480p YouTube with newpipe, and lurking this shithole.

>320 kbps MP3
>not 112 kbps VBR Opus
fuck out of here

I only have 5GB of data and that's enough for daily Spotify on the commute.

Does Spotify have lofi ambiant, mallsoft, groan, extratone, & AFX Twin 90's releases?

5.1 for music is pants on head retarded bro.

>AFX Twin 90's releases
yes
>lofi ambiant, mallsoft, groan, extratone
lol, no idea what that is. sounds like hipster shit. I mostly listen to death metal and psytrance, not exactly mainstream, and it's well represented on spotify. good for you for being so unique, though

your hearing is crappy
your headphones are crappy
you're listening to it outside in a noisy and crappy env

lmao

>he converts his music
No excuse, phones can store a terabyte now.

> 10$ chinkshit earphones.
The most expensive earphones i can find are 20 buckaroonies and those are the ones i buy.
But i mostly use noise suppressing headphones anyway.

I rip MP3's from Youtube FLVs using an online tool. Wanna fight about it?

Stop dumpster diving, user, good headphones START from $200. They arguably start getting worse after $700 though so don't overpay.

I listen to either 256kbps M4A or ALAC for things I really like :3

What do you think of Seinheisser Momentum 2.0 (wired)?
They’re about $200 in UK.

>he looks at PNGs on his phone

This is a JPEG only site, take you're bloated placebo somewhere else

I rip 128 kbps mp3s from SoundCloud and bandcamp.

I don't wanna chug my battery to get next to nothing in return, and I don't have unlimited space on my phone. Not worth the tradeoffs for an imperceivable difference in quality. Just keep everything in FLAC on your computer and transcode anything you wanna copy to your phone.
