KDE is stable. Windows on the other hand is bloated and insecure and crashes all the time.

Your distribution likely has a poorly maintained or outdated version of KDE. What distro are you running?
I'm currently running KDE 5.14.4 on Fedora. It works just fine for me.

I installed Fedora 29 on a laptop today, had Discovery and some random background program crash in the first 30 minutes
other than that it seems ok

fedora is the worst about that packagekitd pajeetware written in python using 500 mb of ram all the time fucking up

Yeah, I remember trimming down a small bit of excess when I set up KDE. I didn't need a DBus Viewer, the wallet was annoying, and I certainly didn't need [i]three different browsers[/i].
