There's no reason purchase the overpriced and antiquated HD600-650-6xx lineup in this day and age. They're simply not worth it, it is outdated technology combined with poor build quality and comfort. Sound wise they're nothing to write about and there are cheaper alternatives that sound better.

He's right, you shouldn't even be considering an external dac unless if you need certain inputs/outputs or if your mobo is over 10 years old. Measurements are largely worthless except for identifying cases of very poorly designed dacs. People who do things like pay $2400 for schiit yggdrasil are fucking retards. I can almost understand justifying something like benchmark dac3 for being $2000 because it has a shitton of outputs (shit is still retarded). Although there are cheaper ways to get the same amount of outputs but it wont be nearly so clean and convenient as having it all in one box.
