Still sounds better than bluetooth audio

Well yeah, it's not compressed to hell

Recording sound wave is work of the Devil. In no occassion ever should music be stored on tape, record or digitally within a sequence of bytes but instead everything should be organically reproduced (played live on instruments or synthesized) for each play individually.

>you should invite an entire orchestra home whenever you want to play music.
A bit inconvenient, methinks.

>back in the day most families had one person be able to perform an instrument
>when you bhought music you got sheets
>when you wantedto listen to music you had to ask them to perform for you

Actualy, compressed bluetooth audio still sound better than anything that can't go higher than 5kHz

i unironically think that it made people vale music more
nowadays music and basically every human need is a click of a button away
and because of it you get cookie cutter porn addicts that think that computer music is real music

>vale
value
using a non mechanical keyboard is making me type like a mouth breathing retard

>that computer music is real music
yeah because it doesn't take any kind of effort
do you know something about music user? do you play music or compose music?

lol

No, banging pieces of wood and metal is not music, real music is synthesized directly from sine waves and stored perfectly and without distortion as a sequence of numbers as mandated by the Nyquist-Shannon theorem to be reproduced by speakers directly inside your ear.

i had classical music classes as a kid and hated it
my biggest regret after coming back to it is my dumb nigger child brain not sticking with it
now everything seems impossible
my ears aren't as good my brain plasticity is gone
fuck you child me

i also have a family member that was one of the few violin makers in my country at the time
i think he was my great great grandfathers brother or something
whenever i look at his one violin we have left i really want to say fuck this shitty digital bullshit and disconnect completely to learn to play it

Post that shit, this looks like it got high passed.

Yeah, my pre-1946 records sound like shit!

Also, thank the Nazis for magnetic tape that we had to reverse-engineer after the war.

Old records are good not because shitty vinyls as marketers say but because the sound hasn't been brick walled making it sound like continuous white noise.

what do you guys mean by "Bluetooth audio? Why are you saying that "Bluetooth Audio" "IS" compressed?

Because it not only compressed, but compressed by a shitty low bitrate lossy codec. You're getting lossy to lossy conversion in the worst case, lossless to lossy in the best case.

man it should be illegal to be this retarded. You have no idea what you are talking about.

Old CDs with proper mastering (no brickwalled shit) is the superior format.

kek, thx your parents for not putting you on the right way :/

Bluetooth is compressed. Are you the retard, user?

>Bluetooth is compressed
Read that aloud user, please. Holy shit.

High passed in 1937?

vocaroo.com/i/s1O7M7vEhtQE

You joke, but you're wrong. AptX Bluetooth compression is fine for any small bluetooth listening devices.

sereneaudio.com/blog/how-good-is-bluetooth-audio-at-its-best

Funny thing about computer music. I have this vertical piano bar and I know what sound every single key makes. But if you sat me in front of a real piano, I couldn't play happy birthday.

I've composed orchestral music in Studio One, but the most complicated thing I can play on an actual string instrument is a simple christmas song on guitar entirely played on the E string.

Hand dexterity is what makes instruments complicated to play, and I'm glad a computer can take that out of the picture. I can't perform live, but I don't really care about that.

>Bluetooth is compressed
Does it sound good to you? Like, does it make sense to you?

Please, tell me you are not that retarded
this was already really bad

Don't go full retard.

Are you trying to grammar nazi me here? Bluetooth audio is compressed audio. Fuck off

>Bluetooth audio is compressed audio
STOP BEING RETARDED

OP here. Even Qobuz doesn't have a better version of the song. Looks like it was never re-recorded after 1937.

It is. Prove me wrong fagit

BT 4+ can push 0.9 megabytes / second which is more than enough to pipe lossless 16bit audio.

Bluetooth audio is not inherently compressed becouse it depends on the audio source used. Stop being fucking stupid.

>after 1937
1936 actually

Bluetooth is not compressed nor uncompressed. Bluetooth is a wireless technology for exchanging data over short distances. It sends data, it uses codecs to send it. But that doesnt neccesarily means it compresses the data (it could tho).

kill yourself. electronic music is good

So you admit it, thanks.

the irony of you saying those things and having a mechanical keyboard and managing also to bring it up is painful. Get rid of the desk fedora.

Zero reading comprehension. You don't sound like a stupid person, but you surely act like one.

256 Kbps AAC BT audio is better than AptX

128bkps opus files are as good as 256 aac.

Maybe but nobody is using opus for transmitting audio over Bluetooth yet

Possibly some genius ran a lowpass filter on your version to reduce noise

oh stop projecting you faggot
i'm using a laptop for the first time in years and the feeling of a regular membrane keyboard is weird and i'm making typos
leave your jewish psychoanalyses for your brainlet friends

Nice meme, but vinyl records will extend far past 25k. Pic related is a recent rip that I did on a Scarlett i2i. 24bit/96khz

Attached: 2496.png (1290x707, 505K)

You can't hear above 20khz.

How much dynamic range is actually in the music in the best case on a vinyl?
I suspect that a lot of the music I listen to has not fucking dynamic range at all after they bake in the loudness and I've never heard a vinyl in my life.

Absolute best case is around 72dB of dynamic range, it pales in comparison to any modern DAC.
I'm saying this while listening to a vinyl record.

It's irrelevant though because no piece of music ever comes anywhere close to that amount of dynamic range. Classical music will get to around 20dB max.

A vinyl is (hopefully) mastered better than the CD equivalent

my dac has at least 120db of it but i don't think a single music file i have gets anywhere near that
its so obvious when listening to song after song and all of a sudden one comes on and it sounds way fucking better than all the previous ones.
people who master music like dog shit should be executed in the streets

Give the definition of SBC without saying "compression" or "codec". I'll wait.
Do you know what a bluetooth profile is?
Only for qualcomm chipsets, non-standard. Same goes for ldac, it's only for sony headphones. The standard is SBC. And this is sad.

>You can't hear above 20khz.
You can't hear bass below 20hz either, but you can feel it. Is the high end any different?

>Is the high end any different?
Duh you fucking retard. Low frequencies resonant easily and cause movement hence why you can feel them. You can't feel above 20hz because you aren't a bat.

>20hz
20khz*

Bats sometimes chirp within the audible range.

That's not the point.

Maybe, but it's cute.

W T F

Actually ultrasound itself can produce audible sound.

>128bkps opus files are as good as 256 aac.
Eh. That's pushing it.

the bluetooth spec compresses everything it sends to it's devices. how do you think it sends that much data? LOL
if you transfer actual files in it, it takes a year for 1 song

reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/5vpt61/bluetooth_sound_quality_40_vs_41_vs_42_vs_50/
dumb fuck, even redditors are ahead of you

wat

also post audible sources

yea, you're a retard

Just because it can doesn't mean that's what it actually does, If bluteooth was sending actual files as is we wouldn't be having this discussion.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_from_ultrasound

Yet the profile calls for audio to be compressed anyway so it is.

lads can you please suggest some headphones for me to purchase
preferably over ear and don't care if they're closed or open back
the thing is that i'm a poorfag unicunt and have a budget of around 100 buckarinos

>Sound from ultrasound is the name given here to the generation of audible sound from modulated ultrasound without using an active receiver. This happens when the modulated ultrasound passes through a nonlinear medium which acts, intentionally or unintentionally, as a demodulator.
Do you even know what this means? Don't be a fucking retard. It has zero to do with vinyl records playing back frequencies above 20khz (which is irrelevant because you can't hear or perceive them).

Air is a non-linear medium and is used as such in that tech. But yeah, not related to vinyls.

user wasn't talking about vinyl at all when mentioning ultrasonic sounds though

ATH-M50

>150 buckaroonies
do you want me to starve for a week fren?

Attached: 78667864586.png (380x496, 132K)

Took you guys long enough. Wireless is still the absolute bottom of the barrel of audio.

what about the sony ones that are like 70 buckarooskies

I promise it's worth it. I've had mine for 5 years now and they're just fine. The sound quality is great too. Do whatever you can with your budget though, don't starve over audio

I haven't tried them myself but I've heard they're good.

sbc is worse than mp3.
quite literally, since it's pretty much just mpeg1 layer2 audio - mp3 is mpeg1 layer3.
It's older and shittier than mp3.

>I promise it's worth it
the problem i've always had as a yurolad is that my country's post is as reliable as a nigger told to guard chicken
so the best bet is to buy them in a store but we don't have some brands
audio technica is one of those
i could try those specialty dj stores though

i found ath-m50x on a site
is that the same as without the x?

wireless will never be better at anything other than convenience.

shiiieeeet it's listed as almost 200 euros m8

Takstar pro 82. If you want a mic get the coolermaster version its called the MH751.
M50X hasn't been relevant in like 5 years. It's shit it just got popular back in 2009 when it was M50 and it was cheaper and there was no competition.

Holy shit what, does your postal service toss your package through the window or some shit

pretty much just a detachable cable

depends on the region but i think the most common thing is theft probably
that's a literally who brand that there is no way we have
did see sennheisers on the musician site though
maybe i'll sell a kidney to get one of those

what about some ath m30x's
are they good?
they're half the price of the 50

What the fuck are you talking about? The takstar pro 82 has been the default suggestion for any closed back cheaper than the dt770 for well over a year now.
The m50x is objectively shit. Shit, the m50 was bad but the m50x has a whole 7db more bass.
You have no idea what you're talking about.
go to /hpg/ if you don't believe me, takstar pro 82/cm mh751 are the only closed backs cheaper than a dt770 that are worth buying diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/measurements/takstar-pro-82/

>What the fuck are you talking about? The takstar pro 82 has been the default suggestion for any closed back cheaper than the dt770 for well over a year now.
m8 i'm not talking about the quality calm down
i'm saying that i've never seen that brand in my yuropoor country before
and because i don't want to buy it by post for it to get stolen or whatever i'm saying that it's not an option for me
jesus are you on your period lad?

oh shit they have those dt770 pro headphones
it's still around 183 yurobucks though
could buy those if i really wanted too

>m50 meme
Only get these if you like nigger bass.

wait by dt770 were you referring to the dt770 pro or dt770M?

glad i spent the bandwidth :^)

LAME "-V 0 -q 0" looks better every day.

What does it sound like if you brought those pitches above 20 kHz to something like 1 kHz?

>mfw shitsung tv with shitsung soundbar
>mfw tv to soundbar is wireless
>mfw soundbar to subwoofer is wireless
>mfw in the new house my pc is upstairs so movies get streamed downstairs over steam link (via powerline adapter)
>mfw effectively sound gets compressed three times (bass track four times)
A-at least it's convenient? Glad I'm not audiophile.
