>it's only a couple of more days until christmas
>hopefully your wife made it in time to buy one of the new flagship amd cards that outperforms all other cards to leave for her boyfriend under the christmas tree
>oh wait amd doesn't have any new cards.... or even old cards worth buying
>looks like jamal is going to be getting a gtx1080 for christmas
>boy he isn't going to be too happy
>hopefully he doesn't take his anger out on you or your wife's son

This guy is a psychopath right?
Thats why he doesn't know how face muscles work right?

Good luck finding a GTX 1080 brand new for MSRP.

He has autism, that's the only way you can care about computer parts in South Africa as a white while your people are being murdered and your country is being run into the ground.

I got a 2070 for 440. I feel sorta ripped off.

The entire RTX line is a fucking joke... I was thinking of upgrading my 980ti, but not with the marginal bull shit.

Its fucking moore law you retards. Pc gpu needs to be reinvented.

If it was Moore's law, the 20 series would be exponentially more powerful than the 10 series.

I wonder what is coming next? We are reaching the end of silicons use, and you can only pile on so many cores until it can no longer be cooled adequately.

Nothing will come next if you dont support nveida, if they dont het enough money to reinvent gpu no one else will.

Technically Moore's law is still going. It just doesn't (and never did) apply to PCs. It's always meant to refer to peak of computer technology. The biggest and most powerful super computers. The ones using liquid nitrogen cooling and gigawatts of electricity. The ones that combine dozens of CPUs and GPUs and have millions of gigabytes of RAM. The ones that are a million times more powerful than even the most riced gaming rig.

thats not true either
slapping a million computers together doesnt count

Okay, Jensen.

Yes it does.

This. Every time I watch his videos im hoping a nigger with a machete breaks in and decapitates him.

Remember kids.

>Radeon 3080 is coming early next year
>faster than gtx1080
>slightly faster than RTX 2070
>250-350$ MSRP

AMD is about to slap nvidia's shit in the midrange and as a kicker, they already have their own raytracing implementation that has several years of development behind it. Since AMD makes the CPUs and GPU's in consoles thats the only ray tracing that will be adopted en mass

Also since Navi is on the new 7nm finFET node aftermarket versions of the Radeon 3080 with extra power-phases will be capable of significantly higher overclocks than the RTX Turing cards are on their larger more inneficient process node

The stock 3080s will be power efficient and around 2070 performance with better drivers.

The aftermarket 3080s will be OC monsters and will run close to a 1080ti.

AMD has finally split their designs into two completely separate architectures that are optimized for Either professional/Datacenter or for commercial/gaming and not both. From now on Vega and HBM memory will be specifically for professional cards

Navi is a gaming optimized architecture with lower shader density in the silicon. They removed HBM and are making a GDDR6 design and reducing the number of Shaders packed in space in order to maximize clock speeds.

Also Navi is a modular and scalable architecture similar to Zen which allows them to scale up or down the number of cores to fit any performance category and any TDP or price segment.

Next gen consoles will use Navi and Zen2 architecture and see a massive performance uplift. Most games will be designed for these architectures and optimized for them.

"His people" are his fellow south african citizens. Stop inserting your racialism into places it doesn't belong.

Why does he always sound like he's about to break into tears in most of his videos?

>nvidia repeats intels mistakes
amd short bus coming through

so the radeon 3080 is just like a vega 64? thats pretty gay. You'd still need 2 or 3 to compete with a 2080ti in raw power...

Still cheaper, but crossfire does not always just work.
I hope amd comes with some fire shit, because I actually WANT to get a full amd rig in a few months, but not if it means putting 3 fucking cards in my desktop and still run sub optimal.

Vega 64 + ~15%

They tossed HBM and have made a GDDR6 card so memory characteristics will be identical to the RTX 2000 series cards and manufacturing costs will go down.

But thats just the memory side of things the Navi architecture is nothing like Vega. The transistor layout is drastically changed in order to increase the space between shaders to manage heat disapation allowing for higher clockspeeds at the cost of less transistor density.

For example, if you compare Vega architecture and a Navi architecture of identical size on 7nm The Vega arch will have more shaders packed in but they will have a higher TDP and wont be able to clock as high whereas the Navi arch would have fewer shaders but the breathing room allows for lower TDP and much higher clockspeeds and overclocks.

For video games this is critical because as the GTX 1000 series shows us the number of shaders you have is not as important as how fast they run.

AMD used to make a general architecture optimized for datacenter and then rebadge it as gaming cards with mixed results. Now AMD is essentially taking a page from nvida and using their new found income from their Zen CPU's to split the design teams and make a design for datacenter which maximizes transistor desnity allowing for larger raw compute performance per watt and designing a different architecture with less density allowing for maximum clockspeeds and gaming performance.

Vega is a horrible design for gaming due to its density and expensive HBM memory. Even with its clock speed limitations, we are seeing a 7nm vega card hit 1800mhz which means that a navi architecture on 7nm with less transistor density than vega will have much higher clocks than that.

The first two Navi architectures are low end and midrange but later on they will create a larger Navi GPU with the same properties and 50-100% more shaders and that will be the card that competes with and destroys the 2080ti.

>the typical AMD just waitâ„¢ argument

>will be
>will be
>will
so, jam comin, next week, soon, jus wait, you be sayin?

fucking south african wh*tie

Slower than a 1070ti and more expensive
Nice work nvidia keep driving everyone to buy amd cards

this reviewer is terrible just some twink that trolls forums and posts things out of context with sensationalism

at least luinus has some restraint but unfortunately to the point he is going to live the next 50years of his life in the closet and his kids will come out before he does. this kid still has hope.

Wow, what a desperate attempt you seething amdjeet

>bought AMD stock when it was 3 dollars per share
>Am now a millionaire
>Nvidia stock just lost 50% of its value and people who invested with them are jumping out of windows.

whatever you say poorfag

>wrong day for this example dept.
I sure hoped you cashed out user
>while you still had a chance

By the time AMD has something to compete with a 2080 Ti NVIDIA will release something new as well. They have a large lead and I doubt they'll just let their performance crown slip away.

Is HBM still the better memory though? If money is not accounted for would Vega still be valid after Navi comes out, or will it be totally obsolete? Maybe Vega prices plummet so the shelf can be cleared.

Everyone's down today, 6% NVDA and Intel included.

The 20 series was always going to be an absolute jew series. They have no competition for a huge amount of time and can do whatever the fuck they want. This will be a very short generation. They know it pissed people off and will start losing market share once AMD gets off its ass. Nvidia will be showing new cards by the end of next year

Why do you feel ripped off?
I bought one at launch for $560, although it was the XC Ultra card that has the slightly better GPU and cooler

Finally, a time to sell!

t. bluepilled cuck cautiously avoiding no-go zones filled with non-whites

His people are the citizens of sa who won't kill him because he is a fucking white male.

Turing architecture is Nvidia's first real DX12-tier GPU.
It will stretch its arms over its predecessors once DX12/Vulkan content start coming down the pipe.
The only reason that Nvidia is marking them artificially high so they can clear out all of the excessive post-GPU mining bubble stock.
There's a reason why 1070Tis are so dang cheap these days and 1060Tis will be there soon.

Navi is going to be be Polaris 2.0. It'll shit on 2060 and 2070 forcing Nvidia to reduce prices on what they should have been at their launch.

his eyes look dead

>Turing architecture is Nvidia's first real DX12-tier GPU
It's funny when poolaris doesn't even support DX feature set 12_1 and vega came with missing features that could've lead to class action suit if not for the unwavering amdrones devotion to their corporate lords.

Ayo hol up
Am I getting this right that they're literally just gimping 2070 chips to sell for (slightly) less? Radeon domination can't come back soon enough.

why is Rooster Teeth planning so far ahead?

Hes an american that moved to SA, which makes me wonder, if tons of whites would kill to leave SA, why did this fucker move there, what is his endgame?

Fed increased rates. It's got nothing to do with fundamentals
