is there any drawbacks to disabling updates on windows 10 completely? is there anything i should do on a fresh copy of windows 10 besides deleting bloatware and disabling updates? not legit version btw.
What's the point of restoring programs? With 1Gbps internet you'd re-download them all in half an hour. Way less time than trying to figure out this shit.
If he's/she's/xer's got a spare 4GB+ USB stick, they could put a minimal Linux install on it with just the core utils and clone drives that way. Wouldn't even need an external caddy if it's a desktop; could use the internal SATA connections for maximum speed.
