Bump

VR is a gimmick meme fad that is already: over.

PSVR for PS4
WMR for PC

those are the cheapest.
Best are Rift and Vive Pro, depending on your budget. Rift also has best price/quality ration

Having had both on my head and owning a vive (not pro) I can assure you that the rift ain't worth the lower price tag.

Does WMR work on linux yet?

The vive is pretty much the sweet spot of real VR. Vive pro is an upgraded headset but super fucking expensive.
Oculus is good and has better controllers but is overall worse.

and if you use glasses, the rift is much better they told me

this niggas elbow is beans

Look at that childbearing elbow

Aint that the autistic Jow Forums dude who unironically used a white supremacy forum? I swear I've seen stories about him in the Jow Forums discord.

Windows mixed reality is just fine, you can get a kit for less than 200$, Just look on ebay or amazon warehouse
Lenovo explorer for best screen and lenses
Hp mixed reality headset for most comfortable headset

what about acer? THat one is 168 bucks rn

I'm already acer

they never learn do they?

Let me ask a better question, which VR headset is best for porn? I landed a job and want to buy one for VR porn but don't know which to get and with Boxing day coming up now might be the best time to grab a headset for this.

The cheapest one. A phone holder will be sufficient.

I own the explorer, can confirm excellent screen and high fov. No godrays, too. 1440p per eye, 90 hz, low persistence (no motion smearing). But you need to switch front and back headstrap padding pieces to get closer meshing of hmd and your face.

WMR is great because it doesn't require sensor setup or any of that crap, the unit itself is out of box good for sitting or room scale. Can walk anywhere and it never loses tracking. The downside is that it can't track controllers behind your back, but you'd usually have them in front of you anyway.

The best part is that it's cheap and works with Vive and Oculus apps and has it's own exclusives on Microsoft store.

anyone know when that vr headset valve is working on is gonna come out? I heard it will be released alongside some type of glove to replace controllers. if thats true thats fucking game changing

VR will go mainstream when it becomes wireless. Whether that means on-board processing (w/ cellphone tech) or wireless transmission from a console I don't know, but it's obvious that the current wired nonsense is strictly for early adopters.

>glove
Are the Knuckles out already?

Wireless adapters already exist, so do phone hardware self contained VR headsets.
Its Vive pro 2 electric boogaloo. The controllers are the Vive knuckles, not gloves. Probably 2020.
