2. good README
3. put it on HN, relevant reddit subs, discord servers and even on disgusting producthunt if possible
4. if you get first ~100 stars in the first day, you mostly are going to be in the GitHub trending list of the language which gets visited by many, so more are going to star your project and your repo is going to stay for a while in the trending page, this can get you 500 more if you can hold on for a week in that trending page
