I always hated the old icon. This one could be a good start, but I dislike this shadow shit on the left side. The icon is not perfect yet (it lacks recognisability and character), but I personally prefer it to the old one that was a piece of shit.

Anytime a program has a logo change it seems to get more botnetted, which is of course the opposite of what you want for Tor. Also I liked how unique the onion logo was.
