It's all about optical angular size. Your eyes can't discern to a specific angular size, and that is determined by size and distance from the eye. You may not be able to perceive a bigger texture than 4k on a 1 inch screen a foot away, but on a 100 foot screen a foot away it would look pixelated as fuck.

invest a bit of money and visit a gaming expo. there look out for exhibitions and check the difference yourself. if you can tell the difference then invest in a 4k solution otherwise 1080p is cheap to manage these days.

Except that motion is an illusion made in your brain, what you see is a continuous flow of light going into your eyes and you "understand" what you see, and the longer you see the more you get used to it and start to "ignore" the transitioning between frames i.e. you will always feel a difference between 30,60,90,120,144,240,... fps, even 1000000 of fps, but once you get used to it, it's all the same, because you see with your brain, not your eyes, and when your brain can't think faster than the information coming in, you start seeing things getting more and more blurred and you can't discern one from the other

No you idiot. The eyes are as fast as the brain can process in real time. You can't just install a 10k camera in place of the eye and suddenly get 10k vision. The brain can only deal with so much shit in real time, and the optical nerve has a fixed bandwidth.
