Replace the small numbers with objects larger than a cache line.
Add more CPUs who all want parts of the list.

this thread was pretty funny

It looks like it. I would've liked to not have missed it.
Plus, I think it's neato how OP went out of his way to make tech easier for himself.

you can still browse it on the archive

Thanks for the link.
I'd rather have the helmet.

What's wrong with regex on html exactly? Never worked with it on html but regex seems intuitive enough that it should be fine.

If I have a method name enqueueRequest , the standard convention is to have a doctype describe what the function is doing. And I dare you to come up with a good doctype for enqueueRequest

If you write good code, the only thing you should comment is hacks, but if you work in a team practicing code review, you'll just be told to write more comments, including doctypes

doctypes? the fuck is this, html?

Every single language I've used have them. The only possible way you don't know what they are is if you never had a job in programming.
They're sometimes used to generate PDFs to print out and give to new employees

I guess I also should have called it docblock. But my team uses doc* interchangeably, since we write in JS, and types are more important to know than the documentation. Hence doc-types

What bug?
It literally means white < everything.

I find it immensely helpful to comment how the architecture works and what it's written for. Sure you can create external documentation but will you really look it up? Some short reminders in the code helps a lot when you have to look at a project you wrote 3-5 years ago.

That's not a comment retard, that's how you should be naming variables.

I cannot begin to express my sympathies.. roll with the punches my man

Chewie is that you?

All of that is covered by the method name and type signature.

I don't get it

>muh comments
Name ONE reason why a person that doesn't know the structure of the project should contribute anything to it.

>then it will take a long time to type
