Our world is filled with demoralizing art.

Post good art.

Not surprised that it was made this year.

The artist has artistic talent, but like any artist that gets official recognition in our age, it has to all be demoralizing art intentionally.

See pic related.

Not an artfag but I really like the use of color here.

Depressing. Didn't know who'd made that one as I just picked up here.

Attached: Oath of the Horatii.jpg (1000x666, 99K)

I've worked at art schools and you see students arrive with moderate skills, high ambition and hopes creating stuff that is moderately beautiful.

They leave school depressed, seeing art as work, and being very experienced at making ugly stuff.

The booklets you see at their first exposition happily proclaim that beauty shouldn't be a goal, bla bla. One more from Golucho to make my point and then back to positve morale giving art.

Thomas Cole is America's greatest painter in my opinion.

Attached: Thomas Cole - A Wild Scene.jpg (3654x2399, 2.95M)

I genuinely believe that although an artist must give her or himself to the art, to develop and craft the purest image they envision, they must also be to some degree a dilettante. A shitposter if you will. Ready to follow their whims and passions.

German castles are generally beautiful, as are most in Europe.

Saved.

Attached: 1483896346390.jpg (4298x3165, 3.35M)

Hambach is probably one of the more bland ones. For those who prefer traditional Germanic architecture Wartburg is probably a better choice.

Attached: Wartburg Castle, Eisenach.jpg (440x330, 43K)

Not really my cup of tea, but post what you want.

Romania also features surprisingly attractive castles. Pic related looks very much like the stereotypical pointed towers design.

looks nice and peaceful. I like it user.

much better castle than hambach, yes.

Must have sucked to watch all those young souls crushed.
>A shitposter if you will
Speaking of, here's a shitposter so effective he's remembered thousands of years later, pictured in his state being taunted by some roasties.

>Must have sucked to watch all those young souls crushed.

I was demoralized myself and I didn't understand it fully, though I had an inkling there was something going on because I was always resistent to being "educated" if a point didn't make sense. I'm from a stubborn family.

So it hurt mostly in retrospect when I read about the will munzenburgs of the world who intentionally set out to demoralize through art. Suddenly it all came crashing down; the urinals as art, the shit as art, the fucking jackson pollock dripping paintings, it was jew subversion of culture. And suddenly I understood why the art schools were wrong and why students came out depressed; I formerly thought it was just the pressure of being self-reliant and of turning passion into work.

But you read about weimar germany and it's culture creators, about their openly stated intention to make western culture stink so that nobody would defend it and it's sickening to learn... but so important.

If I have any ambition in life besides building a family it's to be an anti-munzenberg. To subvert the subversion and to re-establish art that gives heart to people.

I have no great means, but I'll do what little I can.

I have various ways in which high school students ask me for guidance what school they should follow after and I'm able to guide them toward other paths than following art school (instead building paths where they really develop into following their natural passions). It works out decently well for those that follow my advice and that's very heartening.

always loved classic surrealism from a young age
helped me differentiate between unsettling poignancy and subversive degeneracy
