An Asus one 1440p 165 refresh that had SHIT blacks why does every ASUS monitor have shit blacks?

How am I supposed to watch my black and white kino?

Oled to expensive to keep replacing after it burns

I use the best monitors. I do. Let me tell you - I know all the best monitors. I'm very smart, you know. And I've got - we've got - you know, just, the most incredible monitors. You wouldn't even believe the monitors we have. Not just the best - also the biggest! The biggest and best. You wouldn't even believe it. Truly.

Next question.

>buy gaymen monitor
>it's shit
What did you expect? Do you think the average /v/tard even knows what color gamut/contrast ratio is? Of course not, they see a high refresh rate and that means good in their eyes.

I've been using an LG 27MU67B for two years. I tried "upgrading" to wide screen monitors but the text looks like such shit that I I sent it back. Only higher DPI from here on for me now.

>1366x768

Any recommendations for a good 24 inch monitor under 100€?

Well gamer shit is all that exists if you want anything past 1080p with above subhuman refresh rate.

That or chinks shit brands that were created last week.

I’m a traveler from a different board. I am in the market to buy a monitor for my new PC build with a budget 100-300$, what is a good monitor to buy and/or what are the important metrics to pay attention to when deciding which to purchase?

>I’m a traveler from a different board.
Depends on which board. If it's /p/, you'll need a colour accurate monitor. If it's /v/ then you'll need some shitty high-refresh rate panel

Jow Forums actually. But I don’t believe in crypto and have a B.E in cs. The build is mostly for developement, deep learning, and RimWorld.

What about both, someone who plays games and takes pictures as a hobby? What's the minimum refresh I need for games, is an IPS better or does it have drawbacks etc

>says he buys for black and white movies
>uses a 1440p monitor
Are you just so afraid of being called a /v/tard that you have to make shit up? Your reasoning makes absolutely no sense. There are no 60+ fps movies, much less black and white AND over 1080p.

hp n240, i'm poor as shit

Attached: 41v0zCgZprL.jpg (500x446, 23K)

two 22" random old hp monitors that i got for 25€ each

You can get away with 75Hz, it's not quite as bad as 60Hz, especially if you've never used anything higher so your expectations aren't ruined.

it literally doesn't matter. low refresh rate if you care about playing games

the shitty $100 asus IPS monitor i bought over a decade ago in high school that by any objective metric is total garbage actually looks fine. using it i am not upset at its low refresh rate or backlight bleed because despite those things being annoying and noticeable no computer monitor will ever fuck things up on the same level as a digital television ten times the price

i use that monitor as a portable one and when i bring it to peoples houses they are impressed at how good it looks. there is no reason to be. its a cheap monitor thats over a decade old. visual quality is kind of a meme and not because it doesnt exist

You expect me to swap monitors on my PC?
OR own different monitors next to each other to make everything look different all the time?

3x Dell U2412HM. Might ditch them though for a single larger 4k or QHD display.

>tfw youre still using a video card from 2010 and a monitor that cant go above 60hz because you literally dont care enough about teh hurtz to lock vsync

vsync is shit and should never be used unless in extremely slow paced games.

>cant game and watch movies

Enjoy your screen tearing.

LG 38" ultrawide IPS 1440p freesync

at first I was impressed, now it feels just normal. I guess you get used to whatever you have and only really notice a difference when switching devices.

>black and white AND over 1080p
35 mm film is what most of those are shot on tho

Just lock the framerate you idiot

MPG27CQ

looking to upgrade soon, any suggestions?

>and RimWorld
my negro
Get a dell ultrasharp or some other color accurate ips panel.

LG 43UD79-B, 42.5", Windows at native zoom and 4k.

Goy-Sync is a meme.

i use a shitox samsung 21 inch that only has vga ports it's like 8 years old i had to change two capacitors once but i got it for free so who cares.
I also have a small 17 inch as second monitor
also using hdmi converters is a pain but who cares

>windows 10

ThinkVision P27u-10

>4k IPS
>USB-C
>Factory calibrated with cal report in the box
Perfect for my T480s, even better is that I purchased it new in box for £210 from eBay.

I think the comparable Dell P/Ultrasharp is £400+

Main 1080p 42'' TV at 2m distance, with a couple of 22'' on the sides.

CRT

Do any of the manufacturers make a 1920x1080@1440hz 27" monitor today or is it all 1440p?

Have had it for 6+ years and no issues besides the one I returned for a stuck pixel. Looking to upgrade to an IPS panel soon.

Side bitch is a VH236H my friend gave me. That's gonna get swapped for 144hz panel for gaymen

144hz*

Dell 2007FP

That doesn't work. The frames still won't sync with the monitor correctly.

Works well enough for me at 75Hz, certainly better than the shitty input lag that V-Sync gives you

I've got an ASUS 29" 1440p 144hz IPS Freesync.

Works great for gaming and watching movies from the futon.

Got it on a black Friday about a year go. It's pretty good.

>poor people problems
(screen tearing isn't an issue at 120hz+)

Get low latency fiber internet, dumpster dive for 6 CRTs, and build your system around low latency, low input lag.
What you lose out on in internet latency you can make up for slightly with hardware choice.

Disregard
I saw and "assumed stock market" before reading the rest of the post.

Thinkvision LT2452p. It gets the job done well, but I am feeling like it is getting time to move on to something bigger and higher resolution. Using GIMP for photo editing feels very cramped sometimes. My next monitor will be a 30" 2560x1600 unit.

Attached: 1528933891434.jpg (921x768, 48K)

Still does its job.

Backlight bleed is horrible though and the HDMI port stopped working 2 years ago.

Samsung t220hd 1680x1050 16:10

A Dell U2312HM, a Dell U2414H, and a Dell P2211H. They're all nice (the P2211H is surprisingly good for an old TN panel).
When I eventually upgrade, it'll probably be to 30" 2560x1600 panels.

I currently have 3 monitors
Agon AG271UG (main)
LG 27MU67
Dell U2713HM (portrait)

I have one of those too. It really is a pretty nice screen, aside from the typical IPS glow and the retarded way it handles DDC/CI commands.

Dell U2412HM

AG241QX high DPI 1440p 144Hz 24''

Best 10-bit monitor?

CRT

I love the U2312HM, but I'm in the lookout for a freesync high refresh monitor now that loonix has or will have freesync on open drivers. They can be 1440p or 1080p desu, I'm just in the market for one that also doesn't look like TN shit.
