How the fuck did the public decide to accept this garbage? I'm running three programs (Telegram, Slack, and Discord) and my computer is using over 8GB of RAM.

make something turing complete, and someone will push it too far. it's inevitable

Who would have thought a software framework requiring the overhead of a web browser would be a resource hog

Why are you running 20 copies of chrome?

i don't run chrome at all

That's opening it one time. Slack (even the desktop app) runs a different instance of chromium for every workspace that you're in, plus another for the desktop UI.

I'm in twelve workspaces, so that's 13 processes at roughly 300K ram usage each. So slack alone is using 3.9GB of memory for no fuckin reason.

>those processes
botnet/10

isn't slack an IM?

Yeah it's literally used to send text to groups of people

My IRC client uses less than 3K of ram

so you're running 3 chromium based web browsers?
no shit it uses 8gb ram

hahahahahahaa fucking hell
a literal rube goldberg machine

This is what happens when nigger monkeys are in charge for developing apps.

>using soicord
lel

slack? more like cuck

>windows 7

kek

This guy would be running 8GB in Spyware if usin Win XP

What did they do? Used to be only 3 processes before the update today

>spotify
>megasync
>steam
>corsair utility engine
>icloudservices (itunes)

>three programs

sure kid

>why learning how to make a desktop application when you can make a web app and ship it with a full web browser to display it?
Fuck webdev brainlets, they're ruining everything.

>soicord

And what are you going to do if I don't go back?
