How much of a careless grubby shit do you have to be for it to look like that?
I don't use Apple shit but a friend of mine has been using the same charger for 3 years and it looks nothing like that.

It's yellow from you running your filthy hands along the cable. That's why it gets less yellow further away from the connector. Just grab the connector, don't be lazy
>cord is specifically designed so you don't need to bend it
>bends it anyways
>is about to break the other end and will probably complain about that too

>cord is specifically designed so you don't need to bend it
Then what the fuck is the point of the prongs for wrapping thw cable? Am I just not supposed to use them? That end of the cable is perfectly fine too. It’s just the bit where it connects to the computer that gets fucked for me.
>Just grab the connector, don't be lazy
I would if that fucker didn’t get so hot. What “genius” thought it was a good idea to make the entire thing out of fucking metal?

Agree.
Fucking garbage.
I ripped that gay insulation and replaced with usual electrical tape and car wire hose (or how this shit is called in english)

>It’s just the bit where it connects to the computer that gets fucked for me.
Yeah you don't grab it and your cord gets yellowed and it damages the cable.
You can wrap the cable, but you don't fucking strangle it force it into position, that will fuck up any cable. I can tell you do that because the whole thing is yellow. Be gentle. It doesn't need to be wrapped so tight.
Try moving the clip up closer to the connector instead of leaving a half inch of space for it to bend and break. You know, on your next cord, since this one is already shot
I'v had that exact cord for 8 years and somehow it isn't broken

Lost my photo

>I would if that fucker didn’t get so hot.
This is why they are so terrible and fail
No household product should have a cord that gets hot, this is just the usual shit applel engineering at work.

Better question is why did you buy it in the first place

Everyone knew it was shit but you ate it anyways?

you're retarded.
to stay "green" the applel makes shit "biodegradable" or w/e and the yellow tinge is because of a fungus covering and eating away at the rubbery shit

I didn't know that Appel was that shitty.
Another "you are holding it wrong" faggot.
Why Acer, ASUS, Lenovo, HP, and even chinkshit comes with good cable, that doesn't degrade in 1 year in shade without UV without being touched.?

wtf is this

Apple charger.
Insulation degraded completely. It felt like dry cum or something gross, I removed it completely, wrapped wire in PVC tape, and covered this in car wiring harness tube.

why are you using a vacuum cleaner to charge ur computer user?

This. I'm not buying appel again

No, shit still works.
Power supply is decent. Cable is shit.

buy one off ebay for $1
replace the wire into your current adapter

mine's been lasting for years for doing this.

> disgustingly yellowed
clean it with isopropyl alcohol, rub it out.

It won't help.
Material is just disintegrating.

why do applets throw these away instead of just putting some heat-shrink tubing over the ripped part?

Because
1) Some people do 2) It is bitch to disassemble this power supply.

Holes in a cord are a result of abuse. You're at fault.

normally, but apple chords are engineered to fall apart on their own

>It's yellow from you running your filthy hands along the cable. That's why it gets less yellow further away from the connector.
I thought it was just ultraviolet damage like on old beige cases, with the wall plug end rarely exposed to sunlight

>>Only a year old
christ, your kidding me
>ok your not kidding
really shouldnt be in that fucking state after 12 months FFS. and as to the iTards claiming 'its your own fault for touching it' - you ever fucking listen to yourselves ?

>DON'T TOUCH YOUR CORD LAZY FUCK IT'S YOUR FAULT
Can iToddlers ever recover?

>but apple chords are engineered to fall apart on their own
This is true. I've babied my charger, taken special care not to bend it and the cable is still splitting at points after 5 years of ownership. These things were made to fall apart in a few years so you can pay (way too much) for a new one

based

>Don’t grab your cord
what. the. fuck.

I have a thinkpad x200 charger that Is literally 10 years old I treat it no differently from my Macbook pro chargers and the fucking thing still works. Fuck off.

> using macshit
> not buying a cheap copy magsafe from ali express

jesus christ nigga apply yourself

t. 2011 debian mackbook air with new chink battery and charger

yep i just knew you running fischer price OS

>only a year old
no macbook made 1 year ago uses those ports.

>not buying a cheap copy magsafe from ali express
Apple power supply at least met all safety requirements and won't accidentally make chassis live.
Plus, MacBook electronic design is gay weak, so it will not survive Chinese power supply for long.
Louis Rossmann had couple macbooks that were fried with chinkshit power supplies.
?

Dude just get a chink charger and dont buy the cheapest. The one i got was $30 and is identical to the real apple one i cant tell the difference. I have 2 !

> open suse + KDE plasma

ok your an autist and wont be swood either way, good luck.

This.

>he calls other people autists, yet he recommends buying non-certified powersupply for very sensitive laptop
Lol.
Enjoy patching backlight and wifi in your autistic Debian.

There are decent chink chargers that look and are electrically identical to real thing.
>non-certified powersupply for very sensitive laptop
FFS its just 20 volts DC, nothing special even the chinks would find it hard to fuck that up.
>Enjoy patching backlight and wifi in your autistic Debian.
Its cinnamon mint actually and all that just werks you are the one with suspend issues

enjoy your franken-cable

Air

>There are decent chink chargers that look and are electrically identical to real thing.
Really?
>FFS its just 20 volts DC, nothing special even the chinks would find it hard to fuck that up.
MacBook Air 13 was shipped with 16.8V charger. I guess there was a reason why they did it.
>Its cinnamon mint actually and all that just werks
So, don't lie about Debian.
>enjoy your franken-cable
Sure, it costed me only 1$ to fix.
>you are the one with suspend issues
Yep, I guess it is time to update.

the adapter is still sold separately in apple stores. i bought it a year ago

Apple has become a total meme. Glad I got out when they switched to Incel.

MagSafe 1 was deprecated in 2012. How is that new?

They still sell it in stores retard

It's from exposure to sunlight.

Always finds a way to blame the user and not apple, the state of itoddlers over here

Same here with the early 2015 macbook pro's cable
Flimsiest shit I've ever owned. Why is it that a million windows laptop companies can make cables that aren't weak for half the price of apple and their awful cables? Even my braided chink micro-usb cable is stronger than this

>yellowed cable is part that is exposed to sunlight on your desk
>cable nearest the wallwart is fine
-
>dude it's your filthy hands
if they used a black cable this would be a non-issue

Maybe you should quit blaming the materials for the effects of radioactive exposure from your smoking

enjoy your housefire

No they don’t. The last MacBooks to support MagSafe 1 became vintage in 2017.

support.apple.com/en-us/HT201624

It’s not good to lie, user.

On the connector OP has It’s easy, but other connectors might not be.

youtu.be/usHPsIX5fhs

Blame Apple for removing PVC to gain envirocuck cred.

>you're holding it wrong

They’ve already fixed this, all the new USB C macs have a seperate cable so you can just get a new cable if it breaks instead of needing to buy a new power adapter.
