like what?

No.

Yes. I use FizzBuzz every day.

i wrote a program that tracks my porn watching habits and uses a variety of metrics to find new stuff that i'd like. it's like pornhub except i control the data. i have to spend 3 hours a day jacking off, but it's worth it. once i have a robust enough algorithm i'm going to patent it and sell it for millions.

based

Yes i wrote a web camera app to help support my customers. I work with automation robots. The camera allows me to see the fuckups. You would not believe how retarted Korean software is. These idiots don't know what a power button is supposed to do, let alone dispose os handles (files, serial ports, etc). When I exit their software "improperly", they don't use the Form_Closing event to set the right state in servo controls. And the power button doesn't remove power from the NVRAM. So when the customer goes to restart, the software continues to throw errors. I literally have to tell my customer to unplug a 4000lb machine from the wall to force the discharge.

>daily life
So you're saying programs that help me with computers?

yup. i use the shit out of xmonad, and the config file is a "program" (though not a particularly demanding one to write). i also wrote a script that overlays over most features i need to check my battery, adjust my volume, open other programs, so it can detect what audio server i'm using and where the sys file for my battery is.

jesus christ user that may become dangerous, what if its successful in finding new porn videos you like? Everytime you'd open the program you'd be compelled to fap. It could also possibly be designed to intensify the degeneracy every X amount of consecutive faps.

i wrote an app to calculate how much gold i get when one of my pokemon is kicked out of an arena
pic related, its my app

is that jessicababbyfat? jesus fuck she is so hot

Thats pretty neat gamer

That's all I use it for (scripts and automation), then again I'm not really a "programmer"

What scripts or automations do you have going on?

The most useful/advanced thing I've written is a Powershell script that sorts my webm folder by most recently modified and puts it into a text file so I can just open mpv and fap.

Whatever I need at the time, usually shit like "download 15,000 JSON files from a site's API and write the entries that match this regex to another file" or "rename every file in these directories that have a certain size and convert them to WebP" and so on. Plus a few AHK scripts running in the background for missing Windows features (shortcuts, arranging windows, hiding titlebars, taking screenshots, inserting text, etc)

of course, that’s all I do

Yes. I have made a few Android apps that I've used frequently in the past for various things, a couple I still use.

It's one coin every 10 minutes.

bet that inbreed whore smells like shit

i have to login to use wifi at my college. For some reason it keeps kicking me out every 5-10 minutes.
So i wrote a python script to login me and i set up a cron job for that script every 5minute

I wrote a python script that lets me do "feeling lucky" searches of YouTube from the windows startbar/command line.

I can pull up that tick tock meme video in under 3 seconds at anytime.

I've made lots of programs that make my work easier.

So, yes by a large degree.

I wanna lick her butthole

- desktop calculator
- low battery notification
- dmenu script to open files
in progress:
a FUSE filesystem for use with Google drive, with all files and metadata encrypted

I'm prototyping a schedule generator. I have a circadian rhythm that makes a normal schedule useless, but if I don't set specific hours for work, I always procrastinate.

When you wake up, it'll create a schedule for tasks, meals, and hourly breaks. You'll be able to slide tasks around, but not remove them. The graph doesn't cover a specific date; instead, it starts whenever you wake up, and ends 16 hours later.

>a FUSE filesystem for use with Google drive
I'd use this if it stores image thumbnails locally. File Stream works that way on Windows and macOS, but nothing I've tried on Linux does.

how hard was it? I've been intimidated by how difficult xmonad seems to use/setup/adjust to

fine, I wanna like its butthole

Managing downloads -
1. D/L multiple torrents in browser
2. Run script to move them to seedbox
3. When downloaded files are complete, run another script to sftp them to home NAS

when is jessicababyfat gonna do nudes

So you're hiring people?

Yes I write programs that convince my employer to pay my salary

Are you blind? You don't just grow hipbones when you take HRT.

Watching thousands of videos of trap porn has ruined your mind.

Back in like 2004-2006 maybe, when I played Lineage 2, I wrote a bunch of scripts for it. Automating potion use, skill cooldown macros, re-buff timers, controling multiple characters at the same time. At the end of it I wrote myself a simple pixel based bot that would farm mobs in the area you left it, and another character could log in to ress it if needed.
Haven't done anything since, because if I need something it already seems to be made by someone, and better.

Sauce? My sleep schedule is all kinds of fucked up. I'd use something like that.

>that one autist who spams instagram shitters every day
kill yourself

Years ago, I wrote a driver in asm so that I could read and mount muh 1541 5 1/4 floppy drive in dos via serial.

I write lots of small scripts to run programs quickly
nothing too serious, though.

> These idiots don't know what a power button is supposed to do, let alone dispose os handles (files, serial ports, etc).
have you tried reporting this to the vendors?

I wrote a few scripts if that counts. Nothing special (file size targeting WebM creator, Coub downloader, FLIF optimizer), but with how often I use them they helped me quite a bit.

I'm a QA too lazy to be a programmer.
I automated everything

I made a calculator for calculating RC time constants in C.
I don't even know what macros are, or any sort of basic I/O.

I program in vim btw

Only small programs to help and automate my work.

>Not being able of calculating 6x4+3 in your head

I mean, there are way more complicated calculations involved in Pokémon go you could've done

Actually yes. Two programs.
The firstone helps me creating analyzes to keep the overview of my clan members activity, and the second one is called "chan downloader" (yes, I'm addicted to porn).
I'm not an educated programmer actually, so I'm pretty proud of myself, because the programs are relatively complex in my opinion..

It's a massive hack but:
AHK script to monitor when I hit a key to launch a batch script that calls a Go program I wrote (just a few lines, libraries do all the work) to take my clipboard contents and generate a QR code and then launch irfanview to show it in the center of my screen.

I use it as a non-botnet way to easily send URLs and text to my phone.

switch(userProbability)
case "white":
show(blackedPornPref_landingpage)
break;

The thing I made that I use the most is a small device I connected to my mailbox that sends push notifications when I get snail mail.

Also made a cooking platform that's like GitHub for recipes, because I like to make my own recipes.

I wrote a program to keep track of my coin collection and another to make random names for rougelikes for me.

A python script to pull .lrc files from some popular services, a few scripts and C programs that display lyrics and the song name when it changes etc.
An extension to goolag's 2fa
An Xposed extension that gets me free premium for some apps
A python script the pulls and parses schedule changes from the school website and notifies my every evening
A rofi extension
Probably a lot more that I don't use anymore

good

i written bunch of python scripts to shitpost more efficiently. thx for recommending python btw

I've been learning, but I've realized I don't have any end goals or project ideas for actually using my knowledge. I've got an intermediate understanding of Java and python and no idea what to do with them

It's really killed my motivation.

I made a mobile app to track the joint rotation when people change seats as that gets confusing rather quickly, especially when people are ordering food.

I maek website. I receive monies.

A couple of things, but they no longer have a place in my current life. Everything I made was related to amassing and managing a huge porn collection. The only thing that wasn't specifically for that purpose was an image board script that got a little attention.

Yes and scripts too.

I wrote a Catia script (CAD program) that saves me about 45 minutes per work day. And it scales up. Meaning if I have a large assembly I can save even more time.

During my last job, I quickly realized that I could code a python script that would do 95% of the post processing I needed for the next 6 months.
I ended up going to the lab at 11am, chatting with colleagues for an hour, eating for 2, watching some shit for another hour or so and the leaving before 4pm
Nice !

I make programs to help OTHERS with their daily lives.

And I get money for it, so after all my life is easier either.

Yes, I make programs for money. Helps my daily life quite a bit.

God damn Jess

Yep, for example:
* email and slack bots for various reminders
* semi-generic lxml-based scraper library to not repeat myself every time I want to write a web crawler
* automatic Jow Forums thread scanner based on queues to download muh degerated porn
