Uptimes.

Sure sign of ultra-newbies.

best I had before I upgraded the graphics option and power outages have been fucking me at ~50 day averages since

Attached: autism.png (730x355, 10K)

yikes, been messing with some live usbs and needed to make sure they were werking on metal so oldrig and smallrig were rebooted, and bedrig rebooted to turn on pci passthrough support in proxmox

I dare an Arch desktop thread poster to have more than 15 minutes uptime

They are still trying to boot up.

Oh hey, you're the dude with the PA-RISC box. Can I ask a favor of you? Can you please post a screen shot of this part of the CDE settings? Asking because I'd like to replicate the HP-UX color scheme on CDE on BSD/Linux.

Attached: CDE-color-selector.png (332x397, 20K)

>BSD/Linux
which bastard OS is this?
I've used GNU/BSD but idk

Attached: kfreebsd.png (1366x768, 30K)

Linux and BSD, you autist. Don't make me filter you.

this is unreadable. fuck the imbecile who designed this font, and fuck the imbeciles who use it

Attached: screenshot.jpg (786x365, 63K)

It was comfy on the screen I was using, 14 incher 1366x768 but on a more modern machine it looks a little small, sure
I was just havin a giggle is all. t󠀀bh you can't really call anyone an autist when you just asked what you asked above :)

asp spergers

mine's a custom scheme, I think you probably have what you need already

Attached: smgr.png (374x447, 9K)

Thanks

>apparently running OS from an SD card
ouchie

and here's the default scheme, which I think is the same on most other out of the box CDE configurations except Solaris

Attached: smgrdef.png (345x421, 8K)

Nah, it's on a 32GB SDD

is it emmc? Never saw any of my ssds get named that way. sata gets sdx and nvme gets nvmenxpy

Yeah, that's the default for CDE as a desktop.

i shutdown everytime i leave the pc if it's longer than 1 hour

why? the constant cooling and reheating of the components will cause them to crack and break

I hope you can get to a year. Good luck!

No problem, f a m. I'm running Debian stable.

Based and Debian-pilled

Debian stale imo f󠀀am hehe

I reboot my linux OS every weekend. Why do you guys not? How do you install updates?

for me it's with apt

Then reboot.

Shouldn't you be creating low IQ posts in Jow Forums and Jow Forums jordingus

best system monitor coming through

also there's no reason not to shut off at night, fight me

Attached: Capture.png (367x478, 15K)

should probably reboot this at some point but the screen is smashed and it lives behind my couch, still does what little it needs to when accessed remotely

Attached: Screenshot_20190119-195735_TeamViewer.jpg (1400x1283, 409K)

and my NAS has been up since the day I moved in to my apartment, time sure flies

Attached: 20190119_200334.jpg (2522x968, 321K)

Rate mine please, but don't be rude.

Attached: nigger.jpg (574x386, 12K)

this looks really cool
shame no modern linux de can replicate it

thanks for letting us know how long you didn't upgrade your kernel

$ uptime -p
up 2 days, 21 hours, 17 minutes

Attached: .png (722x676, 75K)

Why would another DE need to replicate it? CDE is open source now. It runs just fine on Linux.

Silly German, you can't use that word! If you do, the police will show up to your home and confiscate all your tendies and beer.

such a small edit and such a big improvement

Attached: 1547889275270.jpg (574x386, 26K)

don't you ever have electrical storms?

No I live in a '1st' world country and have a UPS. I have a bit of bug out stuff ready for an infrastructure collapse but I think then my headless remote box and NAS are going to be pretty far down on the list of concerns..

I was going to ask the same question. I live in the US, and surge protectors can't stop a lightning strike. I lost my UPS (and several appliances) that way, but luckily I had unplugged my computer and peripherals just in case. Long may your computer live, storm free!

Said goodbye to 422 days of uptime yesterday.

Are you going to generate a palette file? It might be easier to grab the .dp's from the /usr/dt/palettes directory (or wherever HP-UX stores its DT resources). I have a bunch collected here: github.com/wallace-aph/cde

CDE runs fine on most distros.
