do i think DE's should REQUIRE it? no. and it's very easy to get GNOME to run without systemd.

Unity was fucking amazing for graphic artist, you can search for a image and drag it into an application like gimp or whatever.

I can't figure out how to do it on gnome, I don't think it's possible and GNOME is just more of a resource hog.
