You're aware that 8gb of internal storage is insufficient for Android Marshmallow and newer, right? Even after a factory reset, any such phone will start having storage issues once you let it update.

16gb is a bare minimum, even for low end models like the Galaxy J series.

Do you know how much CPU it takes to keep your microphone always ON? To process your conversations and send telemetry, send your location every 30 sec, to keep track of what app you use and how much time, etc? A phone with higher memory can make it so smooth that you will not even guess you are being tracked.
