1920x1080p in a 27 it's a meme or the real deal?

Cheaper and you doesn't have to deal with shit scaling options and lag.

Attached: s-l640.jpg (640x640, 31K)

up to 15" = 1080p
24" and up = 1440p
32" and up = 4k

For me it's the real deal. Scaling is completely and utter garbage (especially on linux). 27" or a little more is enough, since your eyes can hardly move around with a wider screen.

>tfw my cousing gayums on a 40" 4k monitor and complains about everything except graphics quality.

With the saved money you can get yourself a tailored suit.

>24" and up = 1440p

I never tried it (luckly) but 24" with 1440p should be a pain in the ass

Don't listen to this user. He wrong and this 1440 25inch screens are perfect. If you can't use it then you're too far back from the screen or have shit eyes. For real work 4k 27inch unscaled is also good.

you can get some pretty nice 1080p 144HZ freesync monitors for

23-24 inches should be 1080p
26-32 inches should be 1440p
1080p on a 27 inch screen looks like garbage

ding,ding.

How shit is your os that it can’t handle scaling? osx doesn’t have this problem

I have a 27 inch 1080p Asus (I can never remember the model), and I had to get used to it, but it's not that bad.

1440p 25" here. My monitors are _almost_ too small, right on the borderline. Still damn good though. I feel like 27" would be ideal.

Pic related looks nice but i'm not sure if 1440p would be good on a 24" and i don't really have the place for a 27" screen on my desk. Plus it's kinda pricy compared to a 1080p screen.

Pic is probably what i'd get in the 1080p range. Should add that i'm updating from a 15" laptop too so just 24" makes a big difference.

>especially on linux
Wat. Linux scales desktop resolutions very nicely overall. You probably made some bad choices somewhere.

24inch is the highest you should go with 1080p
27inch would be more akin to 1440p

>mint cinnamon
>scaling factors 1 and 2
miss me with your tranny shit

to add to the topic: i have a 22" with FHD and its perfect.
if i would ever upgrade i would go for a 27" QHD 144Hz

You are touching the screen with your fucking nose or what?

this nigger knows whats up. i have 27 inch 1080 p and it is too large

I'm currently on a 1080p 24" shitty monitor and I wouldn't look for 1440p on this size.

>Gtk+ based desktop
LMAOing @ ur lyfe

>especially on linux
time to upgrade to windows 10 f.a.m.

up to 15" = 4k
24" and up = 8k

>24" for 1080p
>27" for 1440p
>42" for 4k

fuck scaling

Alright, i can get this for $300 CAD on Amazon, it's listed as used like new but it's been refurbished and it still got the manufacturer warranty. Should i get this one? It's got 144hz and 1ms too.

for regular use go for it, for gaming u gonna need a lot of anti aliasing , still look like ass tho

What's a good 1440p 27 inch monitor

how can you guys stand staring at 1cm pixels? everything looks horrendous at such low resolutions

no higher than 24 at 1080p.
for 27 get a 1440p panel.
4k is a meme.

Update. Bought a Dell ultrasharp U2717D for $302. Did I fuck up?

Only literal subhumans use 1920x1080 on 24".

it's a good price, I'm thinking on buy the U2715H or the U2717D

Not sure if there are any notable differences. I decided to save $100. If the one I get has terrible backlight bleeding, then I'll return it and will prob spend more to get the U2715H

>U2715H
Why all Jow Forums buy ultrasharp monitors? Are they so good?

NVM. I'm a retard. Thought it was a different series but the 17D is the successor to the 15H
Dell makes god tier monitors that have good calibration from the factory and thin bezels.

>Dell makes god tier
Except they don't make a single monitor that's 2k, 144Hz, and not a shit TN panel.

Ultrasharps are used by professionals not by gamers.

but gaymes are the only thing that matters

>mfw 32" 1440p 144hz freesync for $300
92 ppi looks fine

...

this. I really enjoy my HP Pavilion 32" 1440p. It's the same dpi as my old 24" full HD monitor, just with more space

For what do you use the monitor/computer? Programming? Reading? Youtube or gamming?

If i were a full gammer, i definetly buy this LG 32inch monitor, but i don't know what it's better for programming/reading, 32inch or dual 27.

Are there 2560 x 1600 monitors?

Mainly CAD, illustrator/photoshop, and some games. 32" 16:9 and up is a really nice alternative to dualmonitors/ultrawide if you don't want such a narrow aspect ratio.

16:9 is too wide already.

got just the thing for you

>Ultrasharps
? Again, they don't make a single monitor that's 2k, 144Hz, and not a shit TN panel.

>?
t. Jeff Bezos

>2560 x 1600

Yes but you won't find one under $1,000 it seems

DPI is too low, it looks pretty bad. 1920x1080 is no good above 24"

What's the best 1080p 24" monitor rn? I'm looking for something that has good image quality and is good for gaming.
>1080p
>144hz
>1ms
>under $450 cad, maybe $500 if it's REALLY good

Attached: 1534884224040.png (466x486, 136K)

>1080p
>good image quality
I legit kek'd.

28" 4k unscaled? yay or nay?

>1080p 1ms
>good image quality
Impossible. 1ms usually means TN panel and that combined with 1080p means horrible colors and viewing angles.

>1920x1080p in a 27
these are the people that whine about the lack of fractional scaling
