How long have we got until adblockers are outlawed or something similar?
never, letting a private entity force upload files onto my computer should never be legal
I stopped consuming ad-supported media a while ago, so I don't use adblockers
the browser works a lot better
and I am honestly not missing much: newspapers online editions are garbage, and blogs are using political bait instead of giving news
the ad supported internet is done for good
Hey! I was fapping to that..
>adblockers
Adblockers is not a GNU-approved term, user. The correct term is "surveillance protectors".
Are people really still trying with this meme?
Isn't this thread proof enough?
I have yet to see anyone back up the claims even though your browser has the tools within it to verify.
Bait
>I stopped consuming ad-supported media a while ago, so I don't use adblockers
Literally impossible and obviously not true since you're still on Jow Forums.
This. Adblock is the ad hider. You can tell because it runs so slow.
uBlock actually blocks the ads, which is why it runs faster.
>hurgh
Fantastic thread, I'm glad you decided to join the board.
of course it shouldn't, the question is if it will
based
>actually blocks the ads, which is why it runs faster
they also hide
It is not impossible
and I personally don't see any ads here (I guess it is thanks to Jow Forums x, or if a phonepost from Clover)
You can either pirate your media content, or pay for it
ie: if I like an android app, I pay for it, instead of using a free version that fries your ass with ads
I think the only platform were I still get ads is jewtube, and you can usually skip it in 3 seconds
*blocks ads, scripts, and more with unrivaled user control*
nothin' personal

thx you based gorhill
Ahh google and mozilla are in a constant battle to make their browsers worse. Everyone's gonna switch back to Firefox not because FF got better recently, but because Chrome is about to suck.
>With such a limited declarativeNetRequest API and the deprecation of blocking ability of the webRequest API, I am skeptical "user agent" will still be a proper category to classify Chromium.
gorhill blowing chromium the fuck out
How can an ad be hidden if it doesn't even load?
some ads are hidden some load
Care to show an example of an ad in uBlock filters that is loaded?
