whichever one has a good multi-core cpu and decent ram, gpu won't matter much for audio editing.

x220 or t420 you should be fine for audio/video editing and they're cheap af. if you have 1k bucks to spend on a laptop, then i'd recommend a macbook, but with that price you can get a x220 and buy a fine audio interface + other shit

I have the Thinkpad P51 and is formidable for music production. I'm using Ableton 10 btw.

Premiere uses Intels QuickSync per default. Shame on the reviewer for not turning it off for the comparison. I actually don't know if it has any impacts on quality or shit like that if you use Quicksync instead of CPU rendering.
