Is Qualcomm finally finished?

Is Qualcomm finally finished?

>a semiconductor company teetering on the brink of disaster

>Two thirds of Qualcomm's revenue comes from its licensing arrangements which force manufacturers like Apple and Samsung to pay extortionate fees, even if their phones contain no Qualcomm chips

>The FTC has brought a case that would require Qualcomm to license its patents on a Fair, Reasonable and Non discriminatory basis. This would likely cut Qualcomm's value in half

I personally think they are brilliant to extort money like this.

Not many companies have the means to do. This

SELL SELL SELL

Based. Fuck IP kikes.

>Qualcomm finally takes a huge hit
>Either goes under entirely, or drastically reduced
>Samsung still can't get their Exynos chip out into US phones
>MediaTek comes to fuck up everyone as the unsung hero

Mediatek, Samsung and Huawei also make better CPUs that are cheaper. Fuck Qualcomm. They are only kept afloat because of the retarded amerimutt market still demanding CDMA. What a fucking shithole.

>fuck with Apple
>get your shit wrecked for practicing jewish price-gouging

Why do they never put Exynos in their phones in the US?

I thought that was because of the qualcom licensing crap.

No idea. You can get them, but they're always like $200 more than their Qualcomm counterpart. Only Exynos chips I've seen is there super low entry level chips in sub $150 tablets.

Cheaper yes
Better No

But they're good enough CPUs. The real reason why they're not in the US market is that Qualcomm really accelerates at is good radios, they can cram alot of bands onto one chip set when reduces the amount of SKUs a manufacturer needs to release and support.

Qualcomm has a entirely legitimate business and the only reason FTC is up their ass is because of folks like Apple, Google, and Samsung paying the shills for 10/10 blowjob sluts in return for favors

fuck kerrisdale capital and fuck shorts. don't care about qcom but kdale is garbage

>waaah they are extorting Apple by refusing to provide them chips unless they pay for them ;___;
Fuck this shit, Apple keeps making more expensive phones every year and yet they refuse to pay Qualcomm, this is new level jew.

>855 isn't the best SoC
failing iToddler lying his ass off

this

Pretty much this, Qualcomm is basically making tech giants butthurt that they can't extract max shekels without paying their dues.

What chance will he have to take the company private now?

They won't pay for chips they don't order, receive or use. Qualcomm are trying to run a Microsoft-style scam and the customers are not going to wear it. They want license fees for all iPhones, even ones that don't contain their chips.

no way bro, their chips are best in class, the 625, the 660 the 855 are absolute gems in terms of performance per watt and radio capabilities.

>Qualcomm is basically making tech giants butthurt that they can't extract max shekels without paying their dues.
Qualcomm is charging fees based, not on the price of their product, but on the price of the product containing it. If you're not happy with Apple's high prices, here's a simple way to lower them.
Like Microsoft's claimed IP in Android, Qualcomm's IP licensing gains them more profits that the licensee.

>Huawei
>trading American botnet for Chinese botnet

brainlet.jpg

What's wrong with kdale?

Apple don't even pay the IP yet the price is still high. Even if the problem is solved, the price will be still the same for Apple. Nice propaganda though, shill.

qualcomm IS a scam, however apple google and samsung are ALSO scams

Wouldn't it just be cheaper for the litigants in Qualcomm cases to just hire someone to kill everyone at Qualcomm?

>qualjeet defense force

They couldn't integrate 4G modems that support US bands for products they would sell in the US because of licensing agreements

I'd just like to point out that the US is very unique in much of it's patent silliness. Don't really see the FTC as the good guys here, the US could have put a stop to it long ago. Of course it's mostly used by US corporations to exploit non-US corporations and that's probably why they've been fine with it.

Who allows what kind of madness is something it's interesting to study, some countries are very strict when it comes to what you can patent and others, specially the US, will apparently consider any minor thing to be an "invention".

huawei chips are the most low power consuming there is, apple is #2,qualcomm #3

>huawei
power efficiency of kirin chips comes form the ROM aggressively killing and restricting background tasks
