My cock and youre mom

haha based

7800 GT/Opteron 170

but they didn't launch at the same time did they?

6600k and rx 480

Petium 4 + Geforce 256

Burnt worse than an i9 housefire

I'm talking longevity faggot.

200k and 560 Ti

Q6600 + 8800GT

9900K + 2080 Ti

Still running all modern games at max settings 60fps with my 8800gt, no reason to upgrade really

2700X and 1080ti

If you are talking longevity than that is easy

Q6600/3870

I'll take baseless lies for $1000 Alex

Attached: lifeguard.jpg (630x630, 52K)

its what most poorfags post when they say they have no reason to upgrade, usually from 750ti and 970 users

FX 8150 + GTX 480. HOUSEFIRE EDITION.

In fairness to the 970, I only upgraded to a 1080ti a few months back and the 970 still everything, just had to dial back settings here and there.

Ryzen 5 3600x + radeon 3080

The 8800GT doesn't support DirectX 11 so it will not start modern games but the GTX 970 supports the same APIs as the current gen.
It's a fact that technologically progress has slowed down.

FX-8350 + GTX 750Ti

4690K + 970

the 970 cpu fag

or windows stopped crapping a new dx all the time

bbbbbbbased

>GAYMEN
fuck off back to

R5 2600 + GTX 1060 6GB

pentium and sapphire

currently rocking an ati radeon 5770 hd with a 7700k.

Imagine drinking wine from a straw, in the bottle

fuck off with your iguana lookin bitch

aye mang, that card can do 60 FPS 720p High Bioshock infinite (I think if I remember correctly)

E8500 + HD4870

I think the 580 is pretty much better at everything

it plays source games really well. the problem is that it's had nearly 10 years of gaming. now the blades of the blower fan have flattened and the card runs very loud and hot. coil whine and such too.

looking forward to picking up and ebay upgrade in the future.

R9 290 was a piece of SHIT.

Most iconic combo:
i5 3570k and gtx 670-680

Q6600 and 8800GT(S/X)

Attached: 14-121-224-03.jpg (640x480, 33K)

RX 480s or 570s are my 99$ ebay pickup recommendation, a 280x isn't bad for around 50$

Opteron was based. I hate the Epyc branding.

R9 290 still beats a 1060 it was a great card, just a wittle woud

>WHHHIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

i7 920 and HD 5870 if you wanted maximum futureproof.

AMD Athlon 64 & GeForce 6800 Ultra

thanks for the suggestions

ay my man. had an hp desktop that had the same specs.

7800 GTX

RGB + Faggotry

I used to fantasize about the 7800 GTX 512. The only card which could fight Xbox 360.

Oh okay grandpa I guess you goys were just so different in 2004. You guys had it so good with your 80mm fans with just blue LEDs, and instead of Solid Fucking Glass, chinsy acrylic is just so nicer

2x 2080ti via SLI

nVidia just works, bro

I never could afford that but when the 7800 GS dropped boyah

i5 4690k/gtx 970

Attached: TheEternals.jpg (3664x1114, 521K)

From recent cards 780 Ti has got to be up there. Still running 1080p/60 fine.

Acrylic doesn't shatter and can be just as clean as glass. I don't understand the infatuation with glass.

Almost all of the 700 series is running fine, most of china is rocking the 750ti, the biggest issue is Nvidia just cut off the 400 and 500 series cards so 600 and 700 probably only have 2 years left

Attached: AMD-Ryzen-5-2400G-header.jpg (640x430, 28K)

Some acrylic can yellow, but that's worse case, I'd argue any office environment will just have black boxes, I don't know when or why glass became mainstream but it's probably to separate work stations and gaming PCs from normal old desktops, and with more lights means more windows and the glass gives it weight (a lot in my case cause front and both sides glass) but if you gotta move your PC around definitely stay away from glass or just be careful as I put my in my car all the time. Plus you can get your glass side panels tinted

Yeah, my blue leds can be shit but the RGB is just a meme, what's even the point on having a Christmas tree inside your case? You aren't carrying it around for people to see it anyways.

Ewie APUS

But its a nice cpu

But it comes with a processor

You don't have to run it on the spectrum, most people (me included) do it causes it trill and It makes no real difference unless you are playing in darkness.

Celeron 2.4GHz + Intel Extreme Graphics 845G

>580
this meme got me to buy a 580 too, but im getting same framerates with my old gt1030 in gta4, the only game i play?
hint: neither were smooth and always over 60

used to be, with my old gtx780, i could turn everything up to max and play fine but the 580 is a shitshow - i also can never get the advertsied clockspeeds it gets stuck at 1215mhz

while I love GTA 4, why don't you play anything else, may I suggest all the stalker games?

i5-2500k + HD 5850

Voodoo 3 + PIII Coppermine

God tier duos

Close, but with RX580
Close, but with either Q6600 or i7 870

i7-4970 + RX480 8GB
can run anything ON MY MOMMA

your just mad

3930K + 1080ti here, gib me dats 4970.

I went from this to 2500k + 290x to 1700X + GTX 1080

Can I keep this up? Planning on maybe Navi + Zen2/3 next. Hoping AMD can work the same miracle on the GPUs.

a 4670k and an r9 290, what i ran for the last 5 years.

why would you pair a GPU with a CPU that was 2 years older than it?

Because there's no reason to "upgrade" a 2500k to Ivy or Haswell housefires with their shit TIM.

200GE + RX 570

>why would you pair a GPU with a CPU that was 2 years older than it?
Why the fuck not? GPUs age a lot faster than CPUs

what a budget box, why didn't you splurge for the 2200g or do you got bigger fish to fry?

>The 8800GT doesn't support DirectX 11 so it will not start modern games
Not always true, you can definitely run DX11 software on a 9800GT/8800GT

G4560 + 750ti

Holy shit that's scary

yeah 8000 series nvidia started CUDA and nothing has really changed there so you could definitely force a game DX11 with some weird likely glitches. Even better a lot of games even released up to like 2017 have DX10 modes

Check tests

core 2 quad + 8800 gt

This is disgusting.

I have a 8800GT out of an old Mac Pro --same card I think, but plus EFI firmware and minus S-video out and no pretty girl sticker. What do I do to make it run modern games?

Install drivers post 257.21, closer to 340.52 is better
Works for me unless the game has a dumb check for DX11 or uses parts of the API that actually require full hardware support.

My 290x died on me today, what's a respectful way to bury it?

>unless the game has a dumb check for DX11
Would dxcpl help with this?

based and crysispilled

I did, you can OC the 2200g all things the same thats worth 50$, you can "sorta" over clock the Athlon 200ge but not officially
