holy shit
an artist who uses linux? you're literally a unicorn.

I don't. I just don't want to pirate a $700 software to add text with a stroke to an image.

Oh wait you didn't mean OP. Sorry.

retard.

Eat shit.

If you want to see my fursona eating shit you'll have to pay me at least 150 bucks, buddy.

:^)

Yeah, you used the stupid trick you find on Google where you have to rasterize the text. It's bad. Not only it rasterizes your text but it doesn't even look good.

you rasterized the layer. it doesn't count.

Not them but I am genuinely extremely curious what your username is.

but it does work
>it doesn't look good
you're making a meme, not an artwork

i wish i could help mang but i'm not going to reveal any personal information about myself or where i upload my art on Jow Forums.
mostly because my artist friends would probably all alienate me if they found out i was a channer. :')

Okay, but are you known enough to have your stuff posted on e6?

based kde neon poster

>download a portable cracked photoshop
>open with wine
>??????
>profit!

I refuse to pirate such a bloated overpriced software to execute a simple image processing function. Memes with impact text with a stroke around it have been the go-to format for all memes since like 2005. Are you telling me everyone who used this format used a $700 software for it? There has to be other options.

Thanks bro. I'll try it out when I'm less intoxicated.

What laptop + pen combo is that?

>artist
>an artist on Jow Forums
>an artist on Jow Forums that uses linux
>an artist on Jow Forums that uses linux that's KDE Neon
>an artist on Jow Forums that uses linux that's KDE Neon AND using a non-wacom based tablet (i can tell from the stylus)

i was always told artists were too stupid to understand tech.

Not a laptop. It's a huion GT-221 pro.

Oh, thanks fren

sorry if i double post i hit send too soon but yeah it took me a while to figure out how to get shit working. i've never used linux before so it was a heck of a learning experience but honestly until i had to install the tablet it held my hand the entire time.

>artists were too stupid
don't confuse artists with itoddlers

Why'd you switch to Linux? I imagine it doesn't have much to offer you, being an artist and all. Loonix has always been more about the developers than the designers.

honestly i like the concept of free software.

also windows kept fucking restarting on me every time i was drawing to "update" and refusing to give me time to save my work. after losing my work for the hundredth time i decided to give it a go.

but you're right. or were right. krita has helped a ton. without it i would've stuck with windows.

are you a grill? if so will you date me? i want a qt free software gf who's also an artist.

Nope. Sorry user. Extremely gay. I don't mean the pansy femboy gay either I mean the big hairy masc gay.

):

>try to make a simple meme
You mean a macro?

Zoomers call macros memes.

>tfw born between 1991 - 1994
>tfw too young to be in my 30s so the boomers won't accept you
>tfw too old to be a zoomer so the zoomers won't accept you
>tfw you're stuck in some weird oblivion of being both too old and too young at the same time

>impact text
[booms internally]

Truly the best age

Yes, and no one bought it.

>stroke around the text
Smaller white letters on top of same big black letters. They overlap and create the stroke automatically.

Hey a Krita user here using Arch.
You probably never googled on how to use or config Krita properly to use. I wonder if Jow Forums is okay with fucking Krita anyways I use it for drawing because of the built in stablizer & I hate Windows due to stupid updates and don't stop fucking updating anyways.
Oh yeah also getting IMPACT working its just a few buttons in settings.

RAM RANCH

Gimp
Open your image
Make a new transparent layer
Text whatever you want in impact
right click text box
Choose path from text
Select menu > select from path (Shift-V)
Select menu > grow (3 is a good value for most sizes)
use fill tool to fill in the outline and space inside letters like O and R

>I wonder if Jow Forums is okay with fucking Krita
I'm ok with fucking Kiki if you know what I mean ;)
But seriously, Krita is the best image editor for Linux.
