So what do you say?

I think this is a perfect personification of Russian mentality and subsequently history. Its an interesting issue, as that's both what's wrong with Russians and right about them at the same time, what keeps us who we are, yet prevents us from advancing further. The only way a person can detach themselves from a collectivist system is an individual sacrifice, that ultimately determines a human being as an individual and contributes to taking down the system as a whole. In Russia this has historically been the central point of most issues - a person is put at a crossroad where one way is stepping over yourself for the collective well-being of others, thus abandoning your core principles, and the other one is holding on to them, while turning a blind eye to the collective misery.

I agree with you
So you think it was worth it right?
I really liked it because it's very short yet itis dramatic in a way.

>So you think it was worth it right?
Definitely, thanks for the recommendation. I really like authors that specialize on rather short stories. This way they manage to stay succinct, while at the same time keeping their works relatively diverse in terms of ideas and themes. I like Cortazar for that.

You are always welcome, bro

I haven't read too much fantasy but this has gotten me into it

Never had a thing for fantasy. Is this one any good?

This is my first fantasy book of this type, so I don't have much to compare to, but I like it. I'm 18 so I relate to the being young and uncertain aspects and then I generally feel inside the world.

Start with Silent Hall if you give it a try, that's the first book in the series

This is my first book series I meant. I read the first one

i actually have respect for myself and my time and i don't read.
