OP, it's bad because there isn't one "Linux OS". there's a ton of distros which makes for choice at the cost of instability. software for windows typically target the latest Windows OS and mostly have to worry about different machines. but with Linux, you have a lot more variables like distro/package manager/desktop manager/and other pretty broken utilities built in.
Jow Forums has this culture around it. yeah, microshaft forcing updates and basically having a botnet OS by default is lame, but there's a reason most people use it: it's familiar and predictable.
personally, most rices people post look pretty similar and like they're going to be ugly outside of the screenshot. unless you have a resolution over 1080p or a tiny ass font, i3 isn't that great for anything but switching between desktops. but windows 10 has that now.
anyways, linux wont take over as usual because of these problems and microsoft has plenty of space to fuck up. archfags on Jow Forums will continue to push elitism and NPC quotes. all is well in the universe, OP.

It's honestly not that bad. All the elements are pixel perfect and there was clearly some care in assembling them. Most of these gaudy themes are full of resized jpegs hastily thrown all over the place, but this one has real SOUL.
