what the fuck why is that the only one that's mismatched. how do you fuck that up?

hello sir my name is pajeet calling from microsoft how might I be help to your inquiry

pleas delet this sir

lmao can Jow Forums write a formal complaint to Microsoft and then have thousands of us all independently submit it?

Can't see that on my machine desu senpai

What the fuck

Attached: what 23.jpg (261x193, 13K)

i don't have this problem

Attached: 1533877534244.png (644x416, 59K)

That's it, I'm switching to linux.

You have weird spacing if you check distance between 1&4 and compare it to 4&7

Please do the needful, thanks.

works on my machine

Just install the old calculator, it's not gone, you know.

Vary gorddd

are you fucking blind

Attached: fhgas.png (614x64, 4K)

it was already reported and fixed in the last preview build
it was even acknowledged by microsoft in the last blog entry

about fucking time
what's more worrying it's that it happened in the first place
it's literally babby's first GUI application-tier mistake, and even at that the babby would have to be retarded

absolutely
current Microsoft knows shit about cohesive design
the current preview build is a mixture of different states of fluent design... it is quite pathetic

The buttons size dynamiclly based on the text content.
Something about that character causes a weird scaling issue. As you resize the calculator window sometimes it is aligned correctly, sometimes not.

fug you're right

Just noticed this the other day. It took me like 5 minutes to recreate the Windows 10 calculator UI in HTML/CSS without any random off by 1px errors. No idea what Microsoft's excuse is.

The only way to make Microsoft fix something is by memeing it on reddit
this is pathetic, desu
blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2019/01/24/announcing-windows-10-insider-preview-build-18323/#1pGLevFTwdBgeY88.97

the funny thing is, I've being toying around with the insiders thing for quite a while, and the biggest issues can't hardly get more than 40K upvotes
nobody gives a flying fuck about windows, other than using it for the absolute minimal

Attached: file.png (949x157, 30K)

resize the window and get your eyes checked/learn to be more observant.

(cont) the community is tiny af
they hardly get any feedback because everyone turns everything off
and it is still a mess of legacy code
just check this issue in the latest release, and the description
they even got called out in reddit about it
I appreciate a lot of the new stuff, and the new light theme, but it is like nobody wants to fix the big issues

Attached: file.png (948x149, 37K)

Running Win 10 with completely broken UWP prevents me from seeing this (and I only use windows for vidya anyway)

>community is tiny
it isn't
it's an older chart but still, even 0,4% are at the very least over 2 million "insiders" getting these beta builds
but I think the way MS handles the Insider feedback is wrong. Hardly anyone bothers with writing feedback in weird forums, so essentailly MS is making Windows for a *very* small and very enthusiastic user group

Every Windows 10 release is the same, rush ( mostly irrelevant) new features for the sake of it, only do half of it, miss the deadline, buggy launch

Attached: chrome_2019-01-25_22-15-07.jpg (878x486, 44K)

>they hardly get any feedback because everyone turns everything off
they hardly get any feedback because nobody expects them to listen or do anything about it based on their experience

I guess insider preview version with developer mode is master race?

Attached: masterrace.jpg (782x1042, 70K)

and instead of optimizing and fixing existing things they're always busy with fixing the latest rushed release

a great example was one release being completely incompatible with M2 SSDs, if you don't have the time to notice something like this it clearly doesn't work

the thing is, if you take a look at the feedback thing, it is quite pathetic
20 threads of the same issue, with nearly any upvotes
and then 2-3 massive ones that looks pretty much fake, with a "we are working on it"
at least they are moving forward introducing some stuff, and at long last the control panel is getting modernized (AFTER HOW MUCH? 20 YEARS?)
they want written feedback
it is like they rely in some kind of machine learning to guess what you want to report... give me a tool to take snapshot of a section, and make an anotation for feedback...

yes but upgrading ~twice a week gets annoying after a while

I get no updates at all, unless i chose to get a new insider version. But I'm fairly sure I've managed to fuck something up enough to mess with some updating system, I'm not too sure. Computer acts as i want anyway.

the fixed calculator comes from the windows store
it was pushed to anyone on a preview, fast or slow

so this is the power of an "enterprise" operating system built by a $1 trillion company

Attached: 1234.png (227x329, 12K)

It's a 4x6 grid. Why does it need to resize dynamically?

>Windows 1.0 run amok from 1985 doesn't have this problem
Oh no

Perfektion

The absolute state of autistics on Jow Forums

yea, you have 30 other spacing issues
look at the 3 - and + signs on the corner
nearly all of your conrers are wrong, actually

>divide, multiply and 9 corner is totally fucked up

nope.

You read a blog post where this was brought up as being fixed, then made this thread to complain about something you didn't know about.
You're all full of shit. Oh and lol this is what they get for diversity hiring.

Feels good being on Windows 8.1 Pro™ edition, the best version of Windows. None of the nightmarish updates and privacy concerns from Windows 10, not too outdated such as Windows 7 and none of the forced Metro BS from Windows 8.

I see no reason to ever 'downgrade' to Win10.

werks on my machine

>skeuromorphic glossy look in a flat design OS
vs
>flat look in flat OS, but the button grid is fucked
I honestly don't know which one is better

>skeuromorphic
not really

Things haven’t been the same since steve stepped down.

Dang it, user. Now i can never unsee it.

This whole thread is the essence of 'who the fuck cares'. Is the spacing on the buttons on the calculator really the biggest issue you can find with windows 10? There are a ton of issues with Microsoft, pick a better one.

Oh how will I ever climb over this mole Hill?

What self respecting en/g/ineer doesn't use the calculator in scientific mode?

There's no offset, but the colours are different on each button.

desu building guis can be mother fucking annoying
t. not-really-a-programmer messing around in tkinter at work

What magnifier program is this?

Who cares about looks? At least it's functional.

ShareX, when you crop a screenshot it has this magnifying, so I just screenshotted the screenshotter

Cheers user

Literally perfect
