My second attempt at cooling this shit
I moved the hard drive over, removed the bottom cover and installed another intake fan
And it worked, the cpu is "only" reaching 80C whereas it got to 100C before and even did a thermal shutdown once

The internal USB 3.0 cable design can go kys itself desu
I have a solid side panel but the visual aspects of that cable still pisses me off
Just fucking get a bigger case
and here's a picture of my linux box (Ubuntu 18.10)
before that
Can't, that's about as big as will fit (see )
before that
before that
before that
I wanted me some node 304 but couldn't find nice haswell boards anymore
I made this for my friend back in april so his kid could play fortnite
Yesterday I popped over and swapped that 560 ti for a HD 6950
>how do you want your airflow senpai
>just fuck.my shit up
nah that small phanteks is fine
Want some troubled /guts/?
My old rig.
I have the same case, airflow is shit, they are so many better mATX cases now, I can't believe I paid $70 for this garbage.
that gpu is getting less air than a broken dirk bike
There's no way to nicely photograph this
How do you own a caliper and measure so poorly????
Hello brother
>actually listing the 87% efficiency
Based thermaltake.
Yeah they dont give a fuck.
pretty good psu tho
It was a nice case, felt a bit lightweight and flimsy but otherwise good
I'd still have it if I hadn't needed to transition to full ATX a year or two ago
Put some electrical tape on the backside of the GPU since it was touching the D15 cooler.
>replacing the a15s
Sup
I had those fans before getting the D15 and they actually perform better according to specs.

better pic but from 1 year ago
i regret building in this god damn case every fucking day
ğüťş
What case is it, and what's wrong with it?
Its an S340, like and , but I went and decided to watercool in it, which makes cable management a bitch, and makes the case really cramped.
I'll probably either go back to air cooling or get a bigger case, probably the latter option though.
>put hot components in a small box with shit airflow
>why are my temps high
nice
>business machine and they put a gold psu in it
That's kinda neat, my old Optiplex 745 was only 70% efficient on it's 305w.
Mid 2017-oct 2018 guts.
Current guts with that ugly ass 7970 and cable managing.
Mongrel. Mount the HDD on the side. You can do that. Then both fans on the bottom for intake, it will cool the CPU and the air will go out, then the two on top are fine, but get a 80mm fan for exhaust on the front above the PSU so it takes the hot air from the GPU out.
I put two motherboards into this case. One's a server.
No I'm not moving this to get a better picture, I can barely even lift it.
>satan builds a pc to make the verge look like a joke
Damn I've never seen that one, how he broke a fucking Gigabyte board and ASrock board is beyond me, but he got an M5A78L working somehow.
hey yo
Get a big case you retard motherfucker
go back inside PC, your drunk
>That die design
Pls dell me that's not a nice FX chip, how is it even possible to rip the soldered IHS off?
RIP whatever high end 2012 GPUs were in there
meme machine
Why do u care about efficiency?
I don't, even on my PC I use a 750w bronze, just never seen a business class machine boasting 80+ gold.
EVGA Z370 Micro
Based EVGA, i'm surprised Micro ATX hasn't become more common with the advent of PCIe 3.0, an 8x slot is as fast as my x16 2.0s.
those 90 degree connections look neat
>Mount the HDD on the side. You can do that
I could... if I had the bracket. This case was a freebie hand-me-down and it's missing most of its hardware.
Swap the psu around. The psu will help exhaust the hot air. Any psu worth its salt will tolerate the extra heat. Common trick with shoebox itx cases like the sg13. The psu will run faster though and by extension louder
*psu fan will run faster
What is this? And why is the top just wasted space. Are those handles?
I got that power supply specifically because it has a zero rpm mode. I'm not about to switch the fan on when I paid to have it off.
Well if your not willing to compromise elsewhere, upgrade to an Ncase and run a 240mm rad or C14s
Maybe
it works well enough for now though, idles very quiet too.
>using an ATX case when you have a mATX mobo
That's just retarded
I don't know why EVGA is the only one who does them, they look fantastic and are so much easier to install.
Hot air rises user, put those top fans as pullers instead of pushers.
Could be better but there's not much one can do with an OEM case.
Rate
Looks better than the cheap acrylic case windows that get prints and microscratches on them over time.
He doesn't look troubled at all
>Tfw would snuggle with a ded AM3+ board if I had one
I feel like some precision cable management would really clean it up.
With a lot of zipties it would be possible but I don't want to go through the effort on it.
People sure get creative when it comes to making funny shitposting pics.
mama mia, how was the cpu cooler performance-wise? Those are aesthetic/10.
Nice, whats balancing the GPU? It looks like a mini cinderblock
Aluminum heatsinks on thermal tape.
It does on its own yeah, but I think in a case where fans are constantly moving the air around the effect is minuscule
That looks troubled, but at least it's 80+ efficient
>AM3+ mobo
>intel cooler
I like your style
Pic related is mine from a few months ago before I cleaned it up. I'm gonna upgrade some stuff soon, a proper case will be the first thing I buy.
Man, that GPU is /sagging/
Did you give a name to your spider roommate yet?
Yeah man, that's Herbert.
I've posted that a couple times and you're the first one to notice
Yeah those old AMD fans are loud ass fuck and the one I had wasn't even PWM
Maybe he's the first one to comment on it?
is that Corsair Obsidian 750D ?
Yeah I tried tilting it up as I screwed it in and it did nothing, still a really fast card, but I miss my HD7750.
As far as I know, indeed he is
very nice job
Holy fuk, is the fan on backwards? how is that possible?
>CPU ever reaching 80c
I don't understand how this is possible in 2019
I run 1800x at 4.1ghz with 1.45v and I get 60c max
